I thought i read that you could swap out the Colman timers for LED6 timers with no wiring changes but when i attempted this the horn would just continuously beep/sound.

am i wrong with this assumption or do i need to change some wiring?

Thanks in advance

Robert

is this for a vac?

Haven't had keypad in a long time but don't recall anything in the timer being different, just the wiring arrangement. Try plugging the dixmor into another bay or vacuum.

Just looked at the two writing diagrams online. Output 1 and 8 are not used on the Coleman timer but might be used on the dixmor. Everything else is the same (this is for a Coleman non- swipe and clean timer) Make sure the wires going to those outputs are not connected to anything.

This carwash originally had a swip n clean system but is no longer being used. So maybe this is the reason. I was not aware that bays were wired diffrent if they had the keypad vs keypad with swipe

Ive tried the timer in other bays and it did the same thing. I did test it at a driffrent carwash location and the timer functions as intended. This location doesn't use timers in the vacs so i can't test it there.

Appreciate all the help

Whenever I swapped a 1034S to a Dixmor, I would always have to swap one wire and disconnect another. It's been a while, so can't remember which exactly, but look at a wiring diagram and it will make sense.

When swapping from Coleman to Dixmer you need to disconnect the ground wire from the door and terminal strip. If you dont the horn will sound and it can burn your PBC board if you have one and even the timer. Completely remove the ground and you will be good.
