Champion compressor not starting

My champion compressor is not starting. The contactor was fried and I replaced it with a new one, it still does not start... I think it could be the pressure switch, how can I test it? Can I jump the pressure switch wires to see if it starts?...any ideas?

Yes you can jump the switch, the switch should controll the coil on the starter. Have you checked to see if you have power on both sides of the switch, if you do the problem is not with the switch.
