Cat pump 1540 low pressure

Afternoon, we rebuilt our 1540 with new seals and valves 3 months ago and now our pressure has dropped 400 lbs. Its in a GT300, we replaced all the nozzles and fixed all the leaks yesterday, still no help. Side wands putting out 700 psi (1000 is spec) and top putting out 950 ( 1400 is spec ). We pulled the head off and everything looks good as far as seals but my gut feeling is we have a bad valve. We run reclaim and that does not help the situation either as far as wearing parts out quick. Anybody know of a way to test pump ? Maybe deadheading pump to see max pressure ? Thanks.:)

If you have a valve problem, most likely you would have a lot of pulsation. I would be looking in the direction of the unloader. Another possibility is slipping belts, but usually you will hear squealing if that is the case. I doubt that you have a pump problem unless you have pulsation.
