Sure, it can be profitable.
You need to make sure that it’s a good spot though, you won’t have any luck with a soft touch in-bay automatic right across from a 120ft express tunnel.
You need to make yourself stand out as well.
However, one issue with ordering machines from China would be the lack of support, unlike US companies, (ie PDQ) 9 times out of 10 they probably will not offer replacement parts, and if something terrible goes wrong, technicians are much more likely to not know how to service them.
If you are willing to learn how to repair and maintain it yourself, maybe it would be an option for you.
But me personally, I would stick with US made stuff.
