Building dogwash questions

So I am in the design stage of thinking of building a dogwash addition to my carwash. I am a little crammed on space so I would be limited to a room 8' wide. I was thinking of a room 12' long but I could go a little longer if need be. I am thinking of starting with 1 tub but leaving room in the future for a shower type stall or another tub. I would never have more than 2 tubs. Do you think this is enough room? What kind of heat/ventilation are you guys using. I have been in a couple washes that stink to high heaven. Is this something that can be overcome or do you just live with it?

Sparkey,
I am sure you did some research on the revenues for dog washes. I enclosed one of my bays and put in two dog bays. I am on the fence about whether it was worth it or not. I do think you have the right idea about having a one stainless tub and one shower stall type bay. One of the bigger problems I have is bigger dogs getting up into my tubs. Sounds like your space might be cramped for two bays though. The big plus is that you will get revenues that you would not have had otherwise, but the mess, the smell, and the chemical costs have me scratching my head sometimes.

Sparkey,

Look at past posts as we have dealt with these issues. 8'x8' can work depending on tub size. Bigger the room, the more cleaning, heating/ac, etc.

Smell. Stink is bacteria. Clean it with spray daily with proper detergent (line the stuff from Kleenrite) and no smell. Need good ventilation obviously.
