This has worked well for me (20 years)
Find your needed length, type of ends you use, if you want a flex guard on one end (or both), and desired color.
When mine start to look old near the foamy brush handle, I flip the hose and almost double the life of the hose by doing that.
If you wait too long, the hose and steel fatigue and it's game over for the hose unless you have a swage tool and ends.
These are steel braided, no coiling issues.
edredtop and I agree with using high pressure hose. But I like to use 1/4" hose with 3/8" crimp-ons.
1/4' hose is lighter and typically doesn't impact foam quality. It also doesn't "bang" as heavily against the customer's vehicle. 3/8" MPT crimps let you install the same size swivels as your high pressure hoses.
I use the 3/8 Wire Braid HP hose with swivels both ends and hose saver 1 end. for the FB . Unless worn thru won't kink and stop weep. -10 and only freeze was a worn kinked hose and an old wobble head that didn't weep - 6 never froze.
The PO had purchased some premade 3/8 assemblies from KR, with red air hose...They didn't seem to last very long at all. When they started failing, I replaced them with 3/8" black "Goodyear" Air Hose cut to length so the hose does not drag the bay floor when holstered...I Crimp my own 3/8" ends on each end with strain reliefs. I have yet to replace one and they were all installed over 8 years ago. I even have them in an open truck bay, direct sunlight and have never had one fail. Fb and PS/TF gun....The hose is light, doesn't degrade in open sunlight, lasts for years, and if you can crimp your own ends, no need to stock precut hoses...Just make a new one when you need one! A 50' length of air hose will make at least 3 assemblies.
