boom motor and grearbox

I am assuming you are referring to a Coleman unit. I never had to change mine (knock on wood) but thought I needed to a while back. In my estimation, after looking at it, I do not think it would be any harder than swapping out a drive motor. Of course, you will need to deal with how Coleman makes every bolt and repair difficult to get a wrench on especially on the bolts on the bottom of the motor. FYI, Texas Car Wash Supply has good prices on these motors. Make sure you have new Lovejoy couplings as well.

are you asking about the motor that makes the boom go up and down or the oscillating motor that is in the middle of the boom? If it's leaking on cars I suspect you mean the oscillating motor.
