As long as we are talking mainly discussing bill acceptors ... the pulses tend to be preset to output 4 pulses for $1 bill to 20 pulses for a $5 bill & 40 pulses for
Switchable between 1 or 4 pulses per dollar.

If you would read the entire thread, your understanding would be improved.

I programmed a similar idea...BOGO on Sunday mornings
Deposit $2 to start, get $4 worth of wash time.

The PLR program is pretty simple but requires 2 coin pulse wires...to & from the equipment room. Since my PLR was already seeing coin pulses for my boiler/lighting controls, I added it to the program.

For example... between 7:00 & Noon on Sundays (or whatever day(s) and times you desire) the PLR senses coin pulses to start. Once the minimum is deposited, the PLR pulses the timer with the programed number of additional pulses.

I just remembered that a couple months ago I was thinking of giving double time at night to encourage customers to be around more as a cheap security measure. I can do it with a version of this, all I'd need to do is have a repeater for the coin pulse enabled with the timer from like 9 PM to 6 AM.
