I've been using KR 6600-19T vac motors for years. https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-58...ce-alternate-for-119414-00-and-116336-01.aspx We change the brushes every spring when we do our vac maintenance. Our vac's get used pretty hard. You should always use the same motors, different mfg. motors turn at different RPM. When we change a motor we always replace the motor gasket.
I use the Domel 492 motor and change the brushes every other year. I have yet to have a motor go bad. I can't even get a year out of a Kleen-Rite VMK19 motor.
Every spring around the first part of May we give our vacuums a major tune up since they are the highest income generators on the property. New gaskets, new hoses, change the bags, change the motor brushes if they need it or not. The other car wash on the other end of town is .75 for 5 minutes and we are $1.75 for 3.5 minutes, we get comments all the time about how well our vacuums work, I’ve actually gotten complaints about to much suction. A little birdy told me that the KR VMK-19 motors are made by Electrolux. I haven't replaced a VMK-19 motor in years.
