All,

I want to have a "doorbell" style button in a location that the customer can push to call our cell. This is not for the carwash application, so no I'm not worried about people pushing it in the night.

I know these devices exist and I am looking for a good inexpensive unit that will do the trick.

Try doing a google search for an AD-2000 autodialer. This is an autodialer that has a couple channels of dry inputs that will trigger a phone call. This unit will cost $150 - $200. You should be able to tie your door bell switch to one of the inputs and if you want you can use the other inputs for something else.

I use to have one of those, it was a used one from an apt. house, so it had a key pad that you programmed what code dial what number. Worked great, but with everyone with cell phones, I'm wondering if one is needed.

BigLeo,

The following could do what you need & it should be less than $150. We have not used the dialing part but it seems you program it in to dial up to 2 distinct phone numbers. It seems like you would have to use a cell convert to landline or actual landline to get the line to call out with though.

We have used this exact DoorBell Fon Brand for our facility for over 8 years now --- the intercom is helpful & it has been trouble free.
