Arimitsu 516 motor recommendation

PaulLovesJamie

rural 5 bay SS
Its time to pull the trigger on an Arimitsu 516; I'm looking for advice on which motor to buy. Specifically:
1) 3HP or 5HP?
2) Footprint - my ER is small and my pump stands are very small, I only have about 14" of width to play with per pump/motor. I'm expecting to have to rebuild this in some fashion but would love to avoid that if possible. Any smaller footprint motors you guys use?
3) Efficiency is important to me - I see that the baldor motors are only 82% efficient, but Toshiba motors are 89%... thats a lot of electricity savings! Anybody using more efficient motors? Have a recommendation?
4) How do I figure out which pulleys I need?

Some relevant background:
I need to do this in a bit of a hurry, I had a motor die yesterday.
Wiring for my existing cat340s is 208-230V 3 phase.
I run my pumps at 1500-1700 psi to get 1250 psi in the bays, high flow volume of 3 1/2 gpm.
I live about an hour from Kleen Rite, so I plan to scoot out there tuesday morning for everything I need.
I'd love to, but unfortunately new pump stands and/or a VFD is not in the budget.

Of course if there's anything else you think I should know please dont hold back :)

Paul I think the best thing you could do is to call Greg at Arimitsu. He can tell you exactly what you need to do.

Mine are nearly all Baldor 5HP, but I do have two bays that are 3HP, Leeson motors I believe. I'm running around 1250 myself, which I think is about the max you can do with 3HP.
