I have an American Changer AC-8001 that will "authorize" a credit card but won't "settle" the transaction. The changer display will show "000=RB=E0001K17" which i'm told is a Rejected Batch ("RB") number. When using my own card the charge shows up as a pending charge noted as "Merchant Name missing". The bank eventually dismisses the charge. I called the American Changer service department and we went through several procedures (including clearing all transactions) but the "RB" would not clear. I was told that they can no longer "call" into the older units and that there was nothing they can do. No help from the processing company either.
Has anyone dealt with this issue and if so, how were you able to resolve it?
