Alkaline Base vs Alkaline booster

East side J

New member
Trying to find some info on the difference between alkaline base and alkaline booster. I use a liquid alkaline "base" with my pre soak in my IBA. Does the alkaline booster perform the same function?
Thanks!!

Bases are generally a builder that you can use to formulate a variety of finished products. For example, you might use the same base to add various other surfactants and foaming agents to, to eventually make your presoak, tire cleaner, prep detergent, foamer etc. It is a common component of many formulations that is blended into final formulations where on site blending is used. pH boosters are additives that can be added to existing high pH products to additionally increase/strengthen or boost their pH level. This should not be done indiscriminately or without thorough knowledge about the products.
