Air Solenoid for foam brush

i have a problem with a few bays the air solenoid does not open so i open one solenoid up and the spring inside the solenoid was crushed i was wondering why this happened and also can i buy new springs

so the foam brush is all liquid because no air :confused

Never had this happen. To answer your question you would need to specify the brand and model of solenoid. You should also consider the age. If quite old, it may be counterproductive $ and time wise. . You'll replace one part only to find another problem and so on. Then there is the aggravation factor.
 
I have stretched many solenoid springs to make them work. I prefer to replace a solenoid when this happens but stretching can work in a pinch. Normally they stick open when the spring is weak.
