Air Freshener Bubbler display

New display on Coleman unit has no fluid or bubbler. Only Colred tubes. That's kind of OK since the air pumps seemed to need replacing every year and the fluid needed filling and sometimes ran down and messed up the coin mech.

BUT, it still looked kind of plain. So I ordered 3 foot chasing rope lights with controllers from noveltylights.com. They run about $20.00 each. Less than 3 air pumps. Rated at 10,000 hours. Threw out all the remaining bubblers and fluid. Lightly painted the old tubes and snaked the rope light up and down in the tubes.

Looks great. We will see how it holds up running 24/7 at all temp extremes.

Thinking of maybe converting the vac dome lights. Need to see how well it shines through.

I think the camera flash would overide the lights of the rope light. Or did you just want me to open a unit and show how it's done, more or less?

Good idea, how about getting some of that stage lighting "gel material" and rolling it up and let it expand so as to line the inside of the tube. I was noticing how "Steak&Shake" uses red filter material they wrap around ordinary flourescent tubes inside their restaurants. Same principle, only line them from the inside.

I have added similar lighting to some of my glass front vendors. I remove the flourescent lights and put the lighted ropes around the edges of the glass. With the motion of the lights I think it attracts attention.

Thought about that. tried to find it or some celophane without success, so thespray paint seemed to work fine.
