The plastic wrap which everyone uses to wrap pallets for shipping has an adhesive on it so it sticks to itself. We try very hard to keep it from getting on the lexan windows in the cage or vendor, but sometimes we miss. Lexan is very touchy about cleaning compounds, so, if you use the wrong one, you can ruin the surface. I know; I have done it a few times myself.
Usually you can use soap and water or alcohol to clean lexan without getting into problems. These compounds do not work very well on the adhesive left by the plastic wrap. One of our customers found that you could use kerosene to clean up the adhesive. WD-40 (which has kerosene in it) is also pretty good. The kerosene (or WD-40) can then be cleaned up by using soap and water or alcohol.
