63 million dollar taxpayer funded home shelter in NY. ONLY FOR TRANS PEOPLE.

After MAC died I feel like there has not been much action here. I do miss his posts.

I saw this article today though that I had to read the headline a few times to make sure I was getting it right.

63 million is going to be spent on a a TRANSGENDER homeless facility in NY. Instead of splitting that money for all homeless shelters they are now segregating them. It honestly blows my mind.

63M divided by the 5 years it's suppose to cover is 12,600,000 per year. That divided by 12 months is 1,050,000. That number divided by 150 people is about 7K per month.
This is all assuming there is full capacity for the next five years. There likely is not. As many as these people want you to think the whole world is trans and they are everywhere, the truth is they are not. I haven't seen one in years my self but I also dont live in CA or NY where it's taught in elementary schools. Where will the excess of this money end up? hmm.

Me as tax paying citizen and contributing member to society payed 8K month for my father in memory care facility for years. No help from insurance. No help from government. Never knew what long term insurance was until I realized we didn't have it. Memory care requires a lot more skill and people on the clock than any homeless shelter needs. The money doesn't make sense even if you include rehabbing a facility. It's amazing how NY dont care about "regular" homeless people, homeless veterans, or the elderly. They only "care" about an absolute tiny percentage of people and its only to boast there "virtue" signaling for likes, views, and political gains. Makes me sick that people that approved this have some type of position of power with handling taxpayer money..
