I replace them with these:

The body is chromed brass, the handle is plastic, the screw and ball are stainless steel. I had to replace all the original valves which had a powder-coated zinc valve handle. A couple corroded so bad they disintegrated when I tried to turn it.

+1, any 1/4" valve will do. I also had a couple corrode on me, replaced them with the exact same one as MEP001.
