You are selling perceived value. I include "free" vacs for my top tier members. Everyone else pays.
My top tier members also pay for "Free" vacs via the membership premium they pay.
Avoid at all costs right now. Their development team is a relic of what it once was. You are going to wait 18-24 months for a deployment.
I acquired Beacon on a site purchase where they were already using it. Support is basically non existent to make changes.
If it is prepped and applied properly, I have seen 10+ years no problem. You can clean it as needed with acid based wall cleaners and recoat pretty much indefinitely.
Just understand it is a permanent coating, you can't power wash it off if you don't like it later.
I would not recommend paint, but I have had great success using epoxy coatings. Look into Macropoxy 646 by Sherwin Williams.
You will probably need two coats on everything. I'd estimate 1k/bay if you do it yourself.
Nayax has been on my s*&t list lately because they lack knowledge in understanding how to configure more complex pulse setups on their devices.
I have always found Nayax to be the worst possible place to buy the units if you want them cheap. My last 20 units I bought for $249/each

I got a good install.
I also wonder how many changes they have made to the S2 over the past few years. The current iteration might just be better than their older hardware.
What is everyone's reliable go to pay station that can sell memberships at the POS?
I have many of their pay stations. I consider them to be pretty reliable. The S2 and EP13 are very good units and the ones I have dealt with have had zero issues.
Agree they need to work on included documentation. I believe they do a weekly overview course to cover how everything works. Dencar...
This.
Anytime I get customers that complain about price I give them a list off all the run down washes near me they are welcome to go use. I generally see them back within a few weeks.
Working equipment, clean bays, and top notch service has a price...
Well my best guess here is network issues. Their solution requires processing a lot of things in the cloud. Car wash equipment installers are generally not networking experts.
What problems have people been having with Via Guard?
This is a known issue and from what I have heard, Dencar are currently not selling any of the retrofits units until they figure out a solution to the problem. This only impacts units that have the PAX IM30 credit card reader/screen.
Their regular (larger screen) models do not have this issue...
I say go for it.
Build the dog wash in a separate room (heated) so you can make money on both at the same time.
Definitely add the vacuum.
10x12 should be fine for equipment room plus storage.
Do you have to do a retrofit? I personally would spend the extra money and get the full size touchscreen.
If your goal is to sell memberships you want screen area to push the message...either an Eco-10 or an EP-13 minimum
Leave private equity in the drivers seat and this will be the whole industry...
High interest rates are absolutely destroying these PE owned wash groups. 260 sites, 1800 employees, and they have 1 mil cash on hand.
insane
Distributors/Manufacturers have exposure here...
