    Nayax- what does this mean?

Nayax uses cellular by default. If signal is an issue, you can purchase a better antenna that can be mounted outside of the box. There is a signal strength meter in the technician menu that can tell you if you have a weak cellular signal.

    Trash Can Recommendations

We just purchased these... https://www.belson.com/Metal-Armor-Commercial-Trash-Cans They have a hard plastic liner that pulls out to empty. You can also purchase a concrete base in the bottom to make them even heavier. Good trash cans are expensive but they should last a long time. We have...

    Nayax doesn’t shut off

There are two options to stop the charge with Nayax. 1) a stop button on the touchscreen - is that on the screen while running in count up mode? If not, call Nayax support and they can resolve that 2) wire in a hardware stop button and program the Nayax VPOS to use that signal to stop a...

Unitec WashChange conversion to dollar coins

Thanks for the input. I am sure I will look at Hamilton when it is time to replace the Unitec changers but I don't agree that the best thing to do is buy a brand new changer. These have been reliable for a long time, I wish someone still made one that is as good.

Unitec WashChange conversion to dollar coins

Thanks for the response. That is a good point about the contacts. It is a 17 year old changer and I'm sure the dip switches have never moved. I will try contact cleaner. We have been using dollar coins for a long time. If you have any questions about changing over, feel free to ask. David

Unitec WashChange conversion to dollar coins

I purchased a wash with a Unitec WashChange machine. I prefer to dispense dollar coins so I tried converting it. I have done it twice before on other Unitec changers with no issues. When I change the dip switch setting to dispense 1 coin per dollar instead of 4 coins per dollar, it doesn't...

Getting the grime off Windows in a Tunnel - Is there a chemical solution that does this in 20 minutes?

SAW works great for us because we clean our walls, windows and equipment on a regular basis. I recently purchased a wash that had not been kept clean. SAW was working but would have needed many applications to get through all of the grime. A more aggressive cleaner like Klean Wall or Acidex...

    Competing With Express Tunnel Wash

Here is why I am assuming $10-$11. The inputs include percentage of members, price of monthly pass, and washes per member. I think 40-70% member washes is realistic. Monthly pass price averaging $30, and 3 to 3.5 washes per month per member. 70% members, $30 per month, 3.5 washes per member...

    Competing With Express Tunnel Wash

Your average ticket assumptions are off. Unless the monthly pass is set up poorly, you should not drop from $13/ car to $8. $10 or $11 would be more realistic and now your annual revenue is $600-670k. That should leave a nice profit after covering the additional expense.

System to remotely reset Laser 4000 (Virtual Joystick on your phone)

I don't have a Laser 4000 any more but if I did, I would be very interested. That is a great solution. I wonder if it could be adapted to Razor's as well. There should be inputs that the remote uses to move the machine around. I'll have to take a closer look at my Razor. David

Presoak/Bug Cleaner/Tire Cleaner in SS Bays

Are you running the same product at the same dilution for all three applications? If so, why not add the additional tanks and solenoids so that you can give the customer 3 different products? Customers will use the products even more if they are effective. What is your cost per minute for the...

    Issues with a new SecureCoin

From your description, it sounds possible that the acceptor was not reinstalled into the bracket correctly. (jamming again shortly after cleaning, and then falling out of the bracket) Good luck with whatever acceptor you try next. David

    Issues with a new SecureCoin

Microcoin is the best that I have used. I have used multicoin acceptors from Securecoin, IDX, Ginsan, and Slugbuster. Microcoin has been virtually trouble-free. I have experienced jams for two reasons, 1) the acceptor isn't correctly aligned in the bracket. It can be a little finicky to click...

    Tap readers

Yeah, I'm aware of their tap solution, I'm more curious as to whether or not it has changed so much that what OP said is true, that it only offers one of his 5 criteria. My current WashCard system meets everything asked for in this thread but has other issues for me. I'm not sure I want to...
