    Ryko Equipment with Dencar POS

I had Dencar hooked up to a Ryko until I upgraded the Ryko to Washworld Profile. Nothing unique or difficult about connecting the Ryko to the Dencar.

What’re yall using for an air compressor?

We have used Quincy's for decades. Mostly the QT-5 model. That would be overkill for a small self service but for busy inbays, it is well worth it. We have 3 that are over 20 years old and still running great.

    Hitachi bill counter

I have the Hitachi and the Kisan Newton. I like the Kisan better because the user interface is a easier to learn. Both count and sort very well I never used the Cummins so I can't compare to that

    Bought a rundown wash

Have you owned it for a couple weeks or a couple months? Carwashing is seasonal and weather dependant. Even a bright sunny day might not be busy the forecast shows rain the next day. What region of the country are you in? Also, it takes time to rehab and repair the reputation of a rundown...

    Nayax Credit Card reader PROBLEMS?

We have been using them in PA for the last 5 years. I have not experienced any issues with cold weather. They do not have internal heaters.

    Carwash Pit Cleanout sensor

To answer some of your original questions, a car wash pit is typically a settling pit, and is constantly full of water. The exit drain is typically high in the pit, allowing solids to fall to the bottom. As our industry grows beyond mom and pop locations, this type of equipment is becoming...

BBB Contacted me over Wash Club Memberships

I agree, the BBB doesn't have any authority or matter much. However, the customer making the complaint to the BBB does. Take care of the customer, don't worry about the BBB.

BBB Contacted me over Wash Club Memberships

I assume she didn't wash after the renewal charge, in that case, we refund it. We don't have to but it didn't cost us anything (except CC fees) if the customer didn't use it and we have found that making the customer happy at cancellation means we will likely keep that customer. Most cancelling...

    Dencar Retrofit Door Paystation

The Dencar retrofit is very different from the original kiosk. Currently you cannot VPN in to reset the kiosk on the retrofit. It also uses a UPS so cycling power requires opening the kiosk. Dencar is testing a solution to retrofit crashing issue. The retrofits are really new and still have...

    Camera systems?

Lorex has two lines of NVRs, one is targeted towards business and one is targeted towards homeowners. I think they call them Elite and Fusion The Elite systems use the "Lorex Pro" app. It works much better than the older app. I know it supports multiple users. I think Lorex Cloud is only for...

    Dollar coin experiment

We switched to dollar coins in 2001 and never regretted it. Sure, some customers get confused because they are not common but when we explain the advantage of getting 5 coins for a $5 bill instead of 20 and how much easier it is to start a bay with 3 or 4 coins instead of 12 or 16, they get on...

    Separate Bay for dryers?

Before I tried something like that, I would replace one of the M5s with a newer machine that can speed up the wash process. A Washworld Razor Edge can do almost 200 cars in a day. Keep the 2nd M5 for overflow then replace it in a couple years. Are you doing onboard drying? If so, eliminate...

    is drying agent needed?

Drying agent is not necessary after those products but it can help break down some of the foam that is left on the car. If you have trouble rinsing protectant products, a good drying agent can help

    Any good cheap coin sorters/counters?

I bought the Ribao CS-10 to replace a Scan coin 303. It is essentially the same machine. The only issue is the supports that hold the tray are flimsy. If you dump a lot of coins in, it can tip. We have used it since 2023 to count and sort coins for multiple locations. I would buy it again...

Full service converted to Flex Serve

We did this in 2008. A few vocal customers hated it but far more appreciated it. I don't think we would still be in business if we hadn't made the change. At the same time, we added paystations so some of the dislike was more about that than it was about staying in the car.

Installing Nayax CC reader in my self serve

If you look at the left plug in the picture, the green pulse wire is on the right side, top row of the white connector.
