    Soap

Thanks for the info PEI and others. I'm looking to making the switch to Compass next month. I've been using JBS chems for 10 years now mainly action & revolution lines. Questions for you, For pre soaks, did you happen to try the bugsaw HPC (CPS-203) as your high ph step? My JBS contact is...

    Installing a new IBA

If you’re going with friction have you considered an inbay express or mini tunnel? Pounds through the line up way faster than a rollover with about 3 times the CPH. MacNeil has good support in Alberta.

    new Cube spinlite IBA?

What do we think of the new Cube, spinlite IBA? Apparently it will be in Vegas. Any operators on here running Belanger spinlite equipment? How do they clean? https://www.cubewash.com

    Laser 4000 rear eye

If the rear eyes are toast or headed that way then it will go long on all passes not just hp. I think a bent shearpin would only affect the front eyes as they would be obstructed on the hp rinse. Might be the rear eye amp relay signal strength weakening too. Good luck.

Anyone using Monex Group Tap and Wash in there self serve wand washes?

I’ve taken a look at the Monex tap and NFC mobile pay readers. Nice product. They’re well built, fully sealed and tested to extreme temps and very low maintenance since there’s no mag readers or key pads. I’ve already got Hamilton DTT CC readers in my ss bays but I’m considering replacing...

We’re about out of the car wash business, can’t take much more

sorry to hear this Randy. Is the dirt bag in custody at least? Good camera evidence hopefully. I’d say 35 years is a great run. I’m at 8years but two sites so grief and stress are compounded a bit.

    hamilton paystation

Combat, since you have chip and pin & tap, are you processing with Payment Express? I have 3 older Goldlines with strip readers that I'm considering upgrading to chip and pin. Hamilton says I have to switch processors to Payment express. Are you up and running with them? if so, how has the...

How do MacNeil Super Flex Wraps handel rear bike racks, custum pickup cages?

Points taken on the benefits to staff especially with customer service and experience. When I said unattended, i wasn't clear. I meant for loading & guiding cars onto the conveyor. I'd still have staff inside to man a cashier lane inline with the two PlayStation lanes. They'd be occupied with...

How do MacNeil Super Flex Wraps handel rear bike racks, custum pickup cages?

Hi guys Planning a smaller 75" tunnel with mostly MacNeil equipment and a flat belt conveyor. Thinking of going unattended/self load, during off peak times and wondering how the 701 Super Flex wraps fair with vehicle obstructions like rear bike racks, wipers on during wash, pickup cages and the...

KleenRite - what are Canadians doing?

I use Kleen rite about 4-5 times a year, orders usually around 2-3k so they're worth the added freight expense. They have the best prices even after factoring in exchange I use my own brokerage account with UPS. Based in BC.

Good time to sell? What would you do? Soon to be a Vacant lot close to my washes.

It should come in around $700-$800k Its not a huge lot at 26,000 square ft. or .57 acre but its well positioned at a major intersection. After seven years of hands on ownership of two busy self serve washes and three aging temperamental touch-less IBAs, and all the fun that comes with that...

Good time to sell? What would you do? Soon to be a Vacant lot close to my washes.

Very true. It's what I'd do for sure but No word on what it would be developed into. I guess as a wash Owner/operator, i tend to see every flat, undeveloped parcel of land as a potential wash :D

Good time to sell? What would you do? Soon to be a Vacant lot close to my washes.

Hi guys Need some advise. I just found out through a commercial real estate broker that a vacant, remeadeated gas site at a very busy intersection is likely to hit the market in three to four months. The sites been dormant for over 10 years and is 2miles from two of my washes. Both of my...

Earl I'm a noob when it comes to conveyors but have you thought about installing an anti-collision pad at the exit? Are they effective?

Improvements/changes with laser Wash 360 Plus?

I like wash world too but as tdl mentioned above, my preferred distributer offers PDQ. I'm wondering how the plus knows where the trolley is now that the x30 pickets and flags are now removed. Also, does the 360 have a wider wash envelope now that the t bars are gone, and thus less shutdowns...

Improvements/changes with laser Wash 360 Plus?

Didn't catch this at the last show but apparently PDQ has made changes on their latest touch free. Any of these new units in the field yet? Beyond aluminum and stainless parts now standard, I'm wondering what improvements or changes they've made from the not so old LW360? Thanks...

    Top Brushes

Jimmy, do you use the standard retract kit that MacNeil offers for their top brush? Any issues with custom pickup cages and racks? I would assume that the ultrasonic wouldn't detect them given the lack of a solid surface to detect. Thanks

When will Unitec be EMV and NFC compatible?

I'm interested to hear what unitec has planned along with the other major auto cashier makers too. I thought Hamilton HTK's had a chip and pin option available for canada? Apple pay is quickly dominating NFC and has to be on everyones must have lists for future upgrades. I know I would think...

I need to to drill out a lock

Hi all, We had an attempted break in and picking of our bay vaults. I need to get into a damaged medco plug lock, since they must have decoupled our vac-it-up piping when they hit it with a sledgehammer. Can someone PM or email me on how to drill the medco locks? Thanks in advance...
