A customer with a car we detailed has lodged a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they contacted me. Seems like a waste of time, but I gave them a reply in writing. Customer was having an issue with the radio controls on his steering wheel after a detail. He mentioned the complaint...
i'm installing credit card Swiper's on my IVS vacuums. They are the old-school ones with no display. I'm leaning towards putting the box for the Swipers on the right hand side of the coin box area. What are your thoughts on this? Do you have pictures you could share of your vacuums with a Swiper...
I was in the detail shop today when I saw a red Kia soul pull up. I have a friend with the identical car so I was looking forward to a nice friendly chat. Instead, a woman walked in and explained that my car wash damaged her car. My automatic is a three-year-old razor. I said OK and walked out...
customer states detailing work ruined both heated seats and steering wheel in a jeep. internet is full of stories about jeeps with heated seat / steering wheel issues. chrysler issued a tsb on this issue. this is a mfg issue and not a problem from detailing. i'm curious to see 'proof' ...
The high-pressure pump and motor sound like they're bogging down at certain points along the car wash travel as it washes the car. I can't really tell from my cameras what position the wash is at when you can audibly notice a slowing of the motor and pump as the high-pressure function is on. It...
Detailing season is about to start! at my shop, things pick up around mid March. What equipment are you planning on updating or upgrading? I'm planning to buy some new airlines for my air tools. I'm also planning on switching from industrial style air couplings to automotive style. I don't...
I found someone who wants to buy my thermal printer out of my gold line. I thought that would be fine because I don't use it anymore now that I have crypto pay. Is it OK to just disconnect this and remove it from the machine or will it create some type of error that will cause me a problem? It...
well, my height restriction for my automatic wash didn't exactly work last night when a customer with a big huge rack on his Silverado smashed through it. He pretty much demolished the height restriction which will have to be totally rebuilt, including angle iron, bracing, pressure treated...
So I called van brook to order more inch and an eighth tokens for my car wash. Much to my surprise every number listed for van brook gets answered by a receptionist who politely exclaims "community ventures"! What now? Was van brook bought by hoffman mint and they have my custom logo for tokens...
