Maybe you could just rig up something to spray a little scent in the bay around the drivers area. It wouldn't necessarily need added to the presoak to get the smell. The customer wouldn't know the difference of where it was coming from.

If you are not good at troubleshooting and fixing electrical problems you are probably not going to make it very far in this field. Mechanical issues don't require much troubleshooting skill so I doubt you would get many calls for mechanical issues.

If its using a powerflex 4 VFD like mine does, it doesn't really have a brake. The drive uses dc injection to simulate a brake and its only active for a set time after a stop command is issued to the drive usually a second or two.
