One thing to remember is pumps create flow, not pressure. Resistance causes pressure, so your pump is not creating enough flow when you pull the trigger. The heads aren't starting to wash out are they?

I am not familiar with your machine but you cannot substitute a PNP for an NPN sensor. One sensor provides a negative output and one provides a positive output. The PLC input card type will determine which sensor you need.
