Unfortunately, adding a cloth sock would increase the likelihood of scratches as it would now hold onto the grit/dirt/sand in the wash bays. And as the dryer hose dragged across their paint, would surely scratch it! 😖 I just hope that your customers would give you the benefit of the doubt...

We use Kleen-Rite's brand vacuum hoses and they don't scratch vehicle paint. I tested it myself. It may leave a temporary plastic scuff, but it buffs out easily with a microfiber towel. I had a guy tell me a couple months ago that it scratched the bumper of his black truck, which was already...

I don't see customers paying for this. Best option, build a dog wash & incorporate some brushes for the dogs. You would need an attendant to ensure customers & dogs are using equipment correctly.

HeyVern, do you use the Blendco in your SS wash? I use Blendco's Super Shield in my SS and customers have been very impressed with the shine & durability. I just called my Blendco rep and he said the Foaming Ceramic is a great product but 2-3x the cost of the Super Shield.

I've tried glue (JB Weld, plastic formula) but then it made it difficult to replace the nozzle down the road. Now I use a 3" long, narrow machine screw (10-24 with a cap nut). Drill through the cuff & hose. Insert screw & tighten cap nut. You can also use a little Loc-Tite (removable style).
