Csn we get 1 freakin Fri/Sat WITHOUT RAIN?!!

In S.E. Pa. Since last March we have only had 3 weekends with NO precipitation. One of the 3 was a steamy hot and humid weekend, which in this area is the same as rain. I consider a weekend to be Fri. Sat. and Sunday.

    Laser 4000 straight swivel

We remove the straight swivel, put a 13 1/2" extension pipe on the tube coming thru the gearbox with a fixed coupler. Then on top of that you put a 90 swivel. You eliminate that straight swivel that is impossible to get to. You remove the top boom coming from the arch gearbox and make one out of...

    Laser 4000 straight swivel

I changed my high Velocity. Took out the straight swivel and put a 13.5" piece of pipe on. Then I put a https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-19042-1-fxf-90-degree-stainless-steel-laser-mosmatic-swivel.aspx on top. Measure your boom length, and put a 1" pipe from the swivel to your hose. No more...

    The "Tools I love" thread

If you guys love your rotary hammer, I picked up a used Dewalt 20v on ebay for $235. OMG the this is unreal. I have a Milwaukee that never leaves the drawer unless we are running 2 of them at same time. Could not get over how long the battery lasts on this thing.

    Foam brush heads

Am I the only one using the FO198PH brush heads? All this drilling and tapping? We get about a year out of them and when they wear out we just replace the whole thing. We used to just do the brush itself, but getting to the screws once rusted was a pia, so we just replace as needed. Have had no...

    IP Cameras and NVR trouble

A guy on another page I follow recommends with the 4k and higher systems not to get bigger than 8 camera systems. He recommends multiple 8 camera systems over a single larger system due to the large bandwidth necessary with the higher resolution. I know thats not the issue you are having but...

Greg do you have a website for online ordering and layout? Or just send you a crayon drawing on parchment paper. Or should I draw it up with a carbon paper copy for my records? LOL!!!

    Replacing IBA

Steve, I am interested to know if the elephant trunk w.nozzles is worth the money? I have the same setup without them and I am not at all happy with them. Also is your center dryer an oscillating nozzle? I am thinking about disconnecting the oscillator, It just seems to blow water back and...

    Wall Panel Experience

I believe the consensus on the forum and the carwash talk page is to NOT use a hollow core wall panel on self serve bay walls! Use a solid core product only. It is inevitable someone will put a hole in the wall at some point! I used a product called Trusscore on my ceilings and it was great to...

Who makes the best vacuums for self service locations?

rfreeman and Earl, my only real issue is I only seem to get a little over a year out of the hose setup. And I have pretty much given up on trying to reuse the heads and just order complete hose assys. Trying to get the tubes and wires thru that bent fitting is near impossible. I would love to...

Who makes the best vacuums for self service locations?

I have 20 Coleman vacs. 18 are combo units at 2 locations. I have been very happy with them, aside from the hose they use on their shampooers they have been very reliable.

What blade for Chop Saw to make my own hoses?

Same as they said. 4 1/2" Angle grinder with the metal cutoff wheels. Thinnest wheel possible. I wrap the hose tight with electrical tape where the cut is. And cut the middle of the tape. It helps keep the fraying down. Sometimes!!!

    3/8" High Pressure Hose

    laser 4000 motor run on

Ok I could see that. That would be an easy thing to check as you know what the last movement was, or more importantly what the missing movement was. Clamp on meter to each wire right at the contactor. But the fact that it is doing it in similar position all the time would lead me to festoon. I...

    laser 4000 motor run on

I disagree with a contactor causing a motor run on! your plc will not know that a contactor is sticking! The plc is looking for the carriage or trolley being in a certain position at a certain time. I would think a prox is not being read properly at the right time pr place. I have a Washworld HV...
