I use the thermal relief valves. Mostly because I have some CAT 623 pumps. When someone leaves that running without the trigger pulled, it heats up really quick. Within 60 seconds or so, it typically starts blowing out to bring in lower temp water. Both hot & cold are gravity fed.
It was 3 miles. No effect on sales. We were already running high single to double digit increases. I actually sold the location last October while things were still on a roll.
All my locations are drilled with the plastic rivits. The holes are 1/16" larger than the rivet, to allow for movement with the varying temperatures and moisture. I would think if you glued them, they may buckle with the extreme temp swings.
Oldest location is 22 years, and I have never had to...
Can not help your issue, but my town just instituted yearly inspection of these. $400 per wash. Just another nice expense for us rich business owners!
Same with what Randy said. If it is cheaper; there is usually a reason. I only tried 4 of them, thank goodness. Just ordered the buy 12, get one free Erie brushes from KR.

I have the same timers and acceptors at other locations...
That is just shady business practices. They know that no one takes the time to read all the crap on those statements. I was just considering going to Cryptopay. That will be a big heck NO for now until they find another processor.
When I spoke with a tech at Cryptopay, he said they knew about...
Remove the belt, then pull the pump forward a bit. Tighten bolts, then spin belt back on. (Be sure breaker is off before you do this, though. Do not want you to lose a finger)
I never loosen bolts when putting belts on. You just spin old one(s) off, and spin new one on.
Last time gas went above $4 in Delaware (August 2007), the business took a straight decline downwards for the next 5 years. This time is a little different, as there is not a banking and housing crisis. Anyhow, with the cost of everything we need at the car wash increasing we have decided to go...
I disagree, MAC. No way practical. We can not supply enough electric now across the U.S., but we are going to be able to charge all the EVs ?
How about all those folks stuck on I-95 in Virginia in the snow storm a few weeks ago for over 24 hours. Would you have wanted to be in a electric car...
I loaded up on them just before price increase--15 boxes. KR went to $72, and Sonny's still had them for $48 at the time, so I scooped them up before they got the memo. I plan to drop it when that is depleted, unless price comes down. It is a good product, but one crappy little sponge can not...
