Washing out paint in the self serve bay...

It is illegal to wash paint down sewer drains. Call you local Dept that handles that. In my state, it is the Dept of Natural Resourses. They do not screw around usually. They will arrest and fine the idiot.

    Blue Coral Red Mega Foam

Thanks, Greg. The bigger issue is at the higher volume wash.....interesting. Flow at the bay is great, and foaming is great. I removed the generators a long time ago, due to clogging. I may get some chlorinating tabs to try, as Randy suggested on an old post. But something has definitely changed...

    Blue Coral Red Mega Foam

So I am having this issue recently with my foam brush soap snotting/gelling up. I have read the other threads on the forum about this. Over all the years, the red fb has always snotted up somewhat, no matter what brand. This usually only required a monthly cleaning of the tank and filter. This...

    quarter/dollar coin abuse

As Jack said, tokens, tokens, tokens. Geeeez!

    Reverse osmosis/spot free rinse

If you are sure it is not soap or wax, I would bet you have a check valve failing on your presoak or tire cleaner in one of the bays. Pull your production line out of the tank and run those functions in each bay individually, and see if you are getting a back feed of one of the products. A trace...

    Bay starving…

Holy $hit. You have a tankless heater for each bay??? That is a lot of heating. That is way overkill. You could heat all bays with one tankless, and a 20 gallon tank with a boiler coil. (Imo) Regardless, you would see the lack of water in the holding tank if a float is bad. Do you have a check...

    Bay starving…

For craps and kicks, you could eliminate the switching valve and run straight from the hot water. This would just tell you if you are getting a good feed from the hw. If you still have the issue with direct feed from hw, then it would be some sort of flow issue, or something restricting in the...

forced to put an air vent in control room were water heater is in Ontario Canada

Put an round 8 or 10 inch exhaust type fan in your ceiling from attic ( with flow going into equipment room). Tie it into your boiler ingnition. This forces air into the room, thus providing the needed combustion air. No floor vent needed. I have had this setup at my washes since opening. I even...

    Old Super Wash

WOW! That looks great. How come your wash menu says touchless? It is clearly friction. Or does it do both?

Would you rather own a express/full service or a 4+2?

If I was silly enough to build a wash today, I would do 4 automatics (3 friction and 1 touchfree), no s/s, no vacs, no trash cans.

Dry brush washers. I can’t keep doing this

DISAGREE, edredtop! This is why the Country is in the shape it is.....people caving to these $hitbags. My goal everyday is to see how many idiots I can pi$$ off. I do not need or want them on my property. Nor do I care what they post on some crap website or review posts. Proof is in the...

So what would you do (self serve bay abuse)

Well, Randy, that is a good sign I never thought of. It is a larger issue in our society, in that people do not respect property or person. They think they are entitled do do whatever they want. I tend to disagree wholeheartedly. I work too hard to keep my places looking clean and fresh. When a...

So what would you do (self serve bay abuse)

You are indeed correct. It is money- OUT of your pocket! The time to pay someone to clean up the mess, the time to clean the walls, the time that the bay is not used, and the extra costs of more frequent pit pumping. Mud is a losing proposition. But since you apparently love it, have at it. We...

So what would you do (self serve bay abuse)

I have the luxury of telling folks like that to never come back. I keep my places clean, and do not want that kind of business. If they want to come back, they can pay my $20 clean up fee. That is just plain ignorant for that person to think that is ok.

    Adjusted Sewer Rates

UltraMag is currently what I have in a 2 inch force main. But I am going to abandon the pumping station because there is a manhole closer to me now where I can gravity flow. When I built, manhole was 3000 feet away. So we are going to connect a 6 inch to the 4 inch that exits the building and do...

    Adjusted Sewer Rates

You can use an ultrasonic. You just have to put a "P" trap in. That should be no issue on a 4 or 6 inch line. Just be sure to have a clean out at that point. Go to www.mccrometer.com

    Flojet G57 Washers

2 month old is under warranty. You can send them back up to 16 months after production date. To answer your exact question, I do not know. I have never had that issue.

Why do people hate Tokens SO MUCH?!

There are no cons to tokens, in my opinion. I have been using $1 high security tokens for twenty years. I even dispense as change in my auto cashiers. There are no quarters available on my sites. We operate car washes, not quarter dispensaries. If a customer does not like that, it is tough $hit...

    Damage Claim

Yes, I have had that happen three times. As others have said, tell them NO. No contact from customer, a long time frame, and no equipment issues. They always wanted my Insurance company info, which I never give out to anyone. I told them it did not happen at my wash, and that their customer is...
