A Laserwash 4000 should have the high pressure pump set between 1000 psi and 1200 psi in order to get the impingement correct at the vehicles surface for proper cleaning. We run at 1100 psi. For what it's worth we use the Water Saver Valve to reduce the pressure to 400 psi for non cleaning...
Hi Steve,
First if the bay is long enough to add the additional arches without interfering with the iba then it would probably fit some form of a tunnel wash system. This would give you the most hourly throughput. Assuming that a tunnel is prohibited by the cost then this would be a viable...
It was explained to me by a chemical rep, that the floor of a car wash is one of the coldest parts of the building unless you have floor heat. Getting the container off the floor helps prevent against freezing in poorly heated equipment rooms and allows warm air to pass around the container...
So I'm looking at a site that originally had 3 lw4000's and 4 vac islands. All the equipment has been removed. The projected daily car count is 48 cars per day. I was planning on putting in a used lw4000 that I already have and JE Adams vacs that I already have. The question is what to do about...
I would think that if it was not separating and turning to jelly that it would be safe to use for a HP Soap.
Since it is separating and turning to jelly, you need to think hard about whether you should use it. If you use it, will it gum up the mixing system. will it keep your customers...
The largest injector that you would need on a LW4000 is a 0.86 which restricts flow to 2.5 gpm, so a 10gpm hot water heater should be able to keep up and can be plumbed straight into the pump.
When it comes to hardness in your water, remember that the soap reacts with solids, it does not care...
"what should lp psi be" = I like to start at 150 lbs psi on the soap pump and adjust up if needed. You should not need to go above 200 lbs psi.
"how many seconds is a pass roughly" = PDQ figured speed 0 to equal about 42 seconds with no Front Bug or Rear Double passes. Speed 9 should be around...
With soaps the raw ingredients are usually all powders and then RO water is added to turn them into liquids. Buying powders cost less than the comparable liquid because there is less involved in making and shipping it. It usually works as well because it is usually the same soap. Which one is...
Usually when this is happening at a specific time of the day it is caused by sunlight getting on the T-bar receiver eye. I have seen the sunlight reflect off a vehicle and cause the arch to turn too soon; as well as, the sun getting onto the eyes directly. The best option is to replace the...
I use GinSan, but I have seen car washes that operate just fine with both PurClean and ConServe units. Pay attention to the layout. Some units can be difficult to work on.
I forgot that you will need to check the inside of the brass valve body for excessive wear, pitting or anything that may prevent it from making a good seal. If you find a problem then you will need to replace the brass body.
