    Residential water heater tanks

My 40 gal Bradford White PowerVent was going on 18 years and no issues. Just pulled it and replaced it with a new one when I updated my furnace last year. My vendor was also pushing Rheem, because of his discounts, but he was marking it up more than he did the Bradford White.

Great! I sent you a link to your manuals.

    Ryko Signature Series

Looks like you have been really good direction above. If you send me a PM with your email address, I can send you a link to the manuals for your machine. From the photos, there are a couple of tags that looks like it says sales order 429306, correct?

    Help replacing a contactor

That contactor looks like it's in your old OHD TPD control cabinet. If so, that was NCS P/N 10629-269, and it is rated at 37A. We still have that parts available if you need it. Or, if you look on the side of that AB contactor, it should show you the AB part number, then just use Google to...

Possible contract operation of IBA (Ryco Select-A-Wash)

I agree with Mac to have a drink, but then to hire someone familiar with a SAW to go through it with you. Steve is right that the machine looks like it was installed well and it "looks" like the site was kept up. It's always harder on a machine to be idle than it is if it were running. Once...

Simple, reliable stainless steel workhorse? Any thoughts?

The pump stand is Magnum HP. It's not available as a retrokit for older machines. It only works with the SGMX5 with WashBuilder.

    RYKO OHD Code 14

Dave, it sounds like your machine got lost because of the vehicle being out of position, and the PLC is expecting different inputs to be on. If it knows it stopped at the rear, and you pushed it home, it is thinking that PLC input X53 (rear endstop) should be on. By pushing it to the front...

Simple, reliable stainless steel workhorse? Any thoughts?

I'm not sure what you are asking about a "jog" feature. Your machine does the rear arm oscillation where it allows one arm to move out, while the other moves in. When this happens, it will move forward for a couple of seconds before it backs away and switches to the other arm. You should have...

Simple, reliable stainless steel workhorse? Any thoughts?

I haven't seen any issues with the rear arm oscillation hurting the brushes, but I do think it works better when we leave the "extra-high" air off and only use rear high air at the back. That prevents them from pressing too hard on the rear. I like to keep the tip speed of the brush maintained...

Simple, reliable stainless steel workhorse? Any thoughts?

Yes, any existing machines could be upgraded to the longer brushes. It's just a matter of replacing those top sections.

Issues to watch for on a SoftGloss

Coach, I'd recommend you just have them go through and do a preventative maintenance. Tighten all set screws on all bearings. Grease all bearings. Make sure arm pivots are tight, and arms are levelled properly. Make sure boom is articulating properly, and the gap is good between wall and...

    Ryko OHD Problem

Wire 220 from Y13 should go to a terminal strip, then branch out to the contacts of K61 and valve Y8 (cooling valve). If you remove that cooling valve wire, I'd recommend you jack up each corner of the machine, and remove the idler wheel to clean and put a light coating of fresh grease inside...

    Ryko OHD Problem

It does sound like the PLC relay for Y13 is likely shorted on if that contactor K61 is pulling in. Before you replace your PLC or get this one repaired, I'd recommend you have someone that has an HPP programming console write down how all of your setup questions and your D timers are currently...

Help w/ SoftGloss not cleaning backend

Coach, in mid-2019, we implemented a change to the upper sections of the rear arm brushes to help improve wash quality on SUV's with their increased angle of the rear glass. The upper 7 sections are now using 72" length brushes rather than the original 60". This has made a big improvement I...

    Ryko Monarch Issues

On a Monarch II, the code 12 indicates a problem with the tire finder photoeye not transitioning. These are the photoeyes mounted along the bottom rail of the machine. PLC input X35 should be "ON" when unblocked, and go "OFF" when blocked.

Ryko OHD - faulting on front corner of car

When the arm is to the passenger side, you should have X41 (arm rotate right rear) and X42 (arm rotate right front) on. When it makes that turn to wash the front, you should lose X41, X42 should stay on, and X43 (arm rotate left front) should come on. Attached is a schematic.

Ryko OHD - faulting on front corner of car

Thanks. The video will help. After it detects the right side, it should drive forward waiting for the front ultrasonic sensors to detect the floor. Once it does, it should rotate until the two front rotate prox inputs are detected (X42 and X43 should be on). Once that happens, the arm should...
