Years ago I had a break in at my wash after hours. Someone threw a brick through the office window, climbed in, busted open the file cabinet where we kept our petty cash. Didn't touch anything else. It was obvious it was an inside job by someone who had knowledge of where we kept that cash. A...
*Update*
I took a few weeks, but my wash is now 100% PCI compliant. Working with Trustwave I found that I needed to buy a new router and readjust my firewall settings. I also had to flash a newer version of software onto my wireless access points. They now scan my system every month and I get a...
For the side blasters I use an H-25 pumping station that is 20gpm @ 800psi. In the bay I used a couple of old stantions from a set of rocker panel brushes and made manifolds out of 304 stainless pipe. There are 3, 3gpm nozzles on each side. The HP rinse is pwered by an H-35 pumping station rated...
A spot free (Reverse osmosis) generating system needs nothing more than a booster pump, A contactor to turn on the pump controlled by a float switch in the product tank, membranes (the long stainless or plastic cylinders) a pressure regulator w/gauge and some hoses and fittings. Anything else is...

If this wash you are interested in purchasing is operating on such a thin margin that a 50% wage increase for a 3 man crew is a game changer, I would think twice before I bought it.
All you need is some flat steel that is around 1/2 inch narrow than the deck you are plating . If your deck is 6 inches wide you should use 5 1/2 x 1/4 flat steel. That leaves you 1/4 inch on each side to weld to your existing deck. I like to use 20 foot sections because it leaves less joints...
I replaced both ends of my conveyor 7 years ago. The drive and takeup sections take the most abuse and have all the moving parts. My original conveyor was installed in 1995 and the center sections have been replated. I plan to replace the entire thing in about 3 years.
If I were going to buy a touchfree machine, it would be this one.
