Agree. Been in business 30 years. Back in the 90's there were too many washes and too few cars for those washes. Now that all those washes are either out of business, torn down, whatever, my business has consistently increased with each year. I believe that now, in my area, we've got about...
When you combine large ticket items with your small ($1.00 or so) your merchant fee is much lower. Stand alone $1.00 swipe without also washing or large ticket add-on averages 22-28%.
Another thing I do with my police fleet accounts is that I encourage them to wash 24/7 and especially at night. I even encourage them to park at the wash to do their paperwork or whatever. I give them free vacuum tokens and free Little Tree air fresheners when they ask. The reason I give...
They have 224 cars in one police force and other forces have much less. City vehicles, fire department and other misc vehicles are about 100 or so vehicles. They each have a fleet card that they swipe at the paystation or in the ss bays and they are then billed each month. WashGear is my...
For low ticket items/sales I can't find any merchant provider that is lower than World Pay. Costco, TSYS, World Pay and some others all are quoting around the 20-25% range for a $1.00 charge. Nayax is the only one that charges a lower rate regardless of amount with no transaction fee however...
I've looked over the statement line by line and don't see any one time fee or anything that would come close to that. Called Cryptopay and they have passed me on to Antonio at Worldpay but I haven't had luck in contacting him via email nor phone.
Anyone else looked at their...
I'm with Worldpay and Cryptopay on my vacs and two vending machines. My SS bays and automatics are on another CC system so my $1 per swipe on the vacs and vending are a stand-alone setup. I realize that with my setup my per swipe fees are high. I just got my Worldpay statement for last month-...
You are exactly right. And trying to solve a problem with an attendant over the phone drives me nuts. "There's a reset button right there in front of you! Right there! Push it! It's.....right....THERE!"
With cars you can go to shops around town and they pump out your antifreeze, treat it with whatever and it's good to go again. Are there companies that come to businesses and do the same for floor heat systems and such? A few years ago I saw on the interstate a truck that advertised that very...
I had the exact same thing happen to one of my washes this winter with the start of weeping. I kept getting my wax tank diluted- water flowing back into that tank diluting the wax. Turned out to be a bad wax solenoid valve in one of the bays. My rinse tank is only hot water used with HP soap...
We salt. Two 55-gallons plastic barrels are filled by our regular water softener service each week. We salt anything thats wet or gets wet during the course of washing cars- including about 100 feet on the public roadway at our exit. Negligence is the word to remember.
2. Super Wash has the slab stat and the air stat. Once the air temp gets down to the air stat temp the floor heat boiler is on constant- overrides the slab stat.
Randy,
The X-12 I purchased was directly from IDX with my instruction to them that it was to be used in a Hamilton ACW4. It came from IDX with the Hamilton plug for the wiring- plugs right in. I was told all I had to do was program it for my tokens and it would work. I tried it again...
