As much as I would like to empty my change daily, this is impossible for me. I work at the hospital daily. The coin changer is separated from the pump room and the backside is open to the general public to see.

I’m just looking at it from the standpoint that I would need something that alarms the police upon opening a door, not motion from a camera. A camera’s motion would cause false alarm fatigue.

Half of my business is cash, with 2/3rds of the quarters coming from the patrons, the other 1/3 my coin changer. Thus, I’m hesitant to make the switch to tokens, feel in the long run digital is the way to go. Was contemplating getting rid of the quarters for my vacuums, just bc of the damage...

Have you ever looked or know of someone who uses a something like a SimpliSafe alarm? Could place a sensor on the door so if it opens, alarm is triggered. Guess biggest downfall is it doesn’t take long to grab the money and run. Will be gone long before police arrive. Believe this would really...

Thank you! This is the reason I’m trying to find a way to keep my old rear locks with a new changer. Since the ER 60 has a cabinet depth of 13” and my old Rowe has a Depth of 18”, wondering if I could cut off the front of the Rowe and insert the ER60. Then it would be double locked. Want to...

When are you going to tackle this project? I’m planning on upgrading mine in August, when I have a week off from my work at the hospital.

I’m not opposed to doing that. Guess I’m just skeptical on how secure the rear locks are on the Hamilton changer.

I like this idea a lot. In the short term, I would like to offer a rewards program and eventually I want to have a membership program. I read your other thread about the number of people you have had download the app. Since you’ve had it over the last 9 months, how many active users do you...

Here is the backside of my box. It’s 1/4” stainless and 3/8” stainless bars that are held into place by puck locks. The door was replaced with 1/4” Corten. Only thing I hate is the puck locks I’m using. Unable to modify without cutting off the boxes that protect them.

Hello Kimberly, in January I added the Monex cc system. I am also looking to add Coinless. Do you have any images of what all your platform looks like at each bay? Thanks, Matt

I believe I’m at the point that I need to upgrade my coin changer. Right now I have an old Rowe BC200 with Mei acceptor and genesis kit upgrade. It still has the original Rowe Hopper. I continue to have issues about every week or two and believe the problem lies with the hopper jamming. Then it...

    Monex Terminals

I have Monex and they do have countup. I put countup in the bays and countdown on the vacuums. Had a lot of customers appreciate the tap to pay function. Only issue I’ve had with some of them is the chip reader function fail, but what’s weird is it would fail or not read cards with silver chips...

I don’t know much about nayax and cryptopay customer service, but Monex does have great customer service. Very responsive with any issues I had.

    Houston Area Vacuum Thief

That is crazy! Prior to this, my biggest issue was illegal dumping. Where is your car wash located?

    Houston Area Vacuum Thief

Hate seeing it. Figured since I was a new car wash owner, I would share some photos of the burglar in case he comes around to their wash. Considering how many car washes are in the Houston area, its guaranteed he will strike again

    Houston Area Vacuum Thief

Not much. I pulled money the day prior. The real loss is the damages to the money box. I just wanted to raise awareness to those in the Houston area bc Perry was arrested 2 days later at another car wash in South Houston. Only to be released from Harris County jail and charges dropped.

Agree! However you do see fee % decrease as sales increase. I purchased an abandoned car wash and recently remodeled it. Only have 3 bays running and CC income has gone from $800 in Feb to $1800 in May. I’m sure if you were processing $5k in cc transactions there would be a drop. Also be mindful...

I have Monex programmed with countup timers. Wash Bays: Have them set for a $20 preauth charge. I’ve had a couple of issues and replaced 2 of the 6 readers. Vacuums: Set for $2 charge, no countup. Pros: tap to pay works perfectly. Issues: After a couple of months, two separate readers the...

I feel your pain. I’m a new car wash owner. Tried Monex and Cryptopay. Went with the Monex terminals and the fees average 8-9%.
