We used the spacers supplied by the panel companies in the past but now just use PVC pipe as a spacer for anchoring items that need to be tight like wand holders and mat clamps. For signage, we use 1/4" nylon tap in anchors
When pushing hoses through echains, I would add electrical tape to the fitting and add some grease to the tape. As mentioned above, start pushing and when the hose reaches the bend move the equipment so the end of the hose gets past the bend and keep pushing. Every once in while you do have to...
Do you have your CAT 5 plugged into LAN port #1 on both units? Those are specifically for network or Access/PDQ CW communication. They will work on the others, but have seen on a few occasions where plugging into any other port will cause intermittent issues.
If it was an issue with the wash...
Graffiti comes and goes.
Theft, not as of late but it's coming. School will be out in a few months and there will be some bored hood rats that will think breaking into the local car wash is a good idea for extra cash.
Was having a conversation with the VP of Energy for a large grocery chain and he stated that the fast charging stations that Tesla provides in shopping centers draw a tremendous amount of energy. Especially when Tesla owner groups get together, when they stop by and all charge at the exact same...
I drove by an In Bay yesterday with a large entrance arch, it was tore up right in the center as if a tall vehicle attempted to drive through it. Make sure you install clearance signs prior to getting to that sign. This site didn't have one and it's going to be an expensive repair.
We have an average wash time of 5:34 with 2 side brush passes on the top wash. This is on the 2 brush unit. Longest wash times being 7-7:15 with a 4 door super duty long bed on the top wash. 3 brush unit is slightly faster.
I've seen a ton of sites that are 9+ minutes but the programming is...
Our rooms are all vented, its hot in our area. The main advantage is we keep the motors out of the elements. Didn't want moisture or over spray from soaps to accumulate on these motors and have corrosion set in. We have over 100 units installed and have experienced very few issues with the...
We thought the same thing about tunnels a few years ago. Put in 4 TF's next to our frictions. Frictions wash 3 to 1. We will stick to friction in the future. Our PDQ frictions wash at least 80k cars before needing to replace brushes, and we wash a lot of trucks.
Make sure your brushes aren't...
That 6 producer should get you a pretty dry car. Check your chemical usage on the finishing products. Not enough chemical will not allow the water to bead enough, too much chemical will not rinse properly and will also give you issues.
Make sure your rotation is correct as well on the dryer...
Look at your cost per car before the sticker shock of barrel cost. Ultra concentrates are going to be more expensive, but you will use less. If you want a lower barrel cost, stick to conventionals.
We mounted all of our 3 phase air shammee motors in the equipment rooms and ran PVC out to the bays. Some spanned 4 bays. The loss of pressure is almost undetectable.
Find someone with a plasma cutter and cut a hole into that door and add an LED6 timer with a bracket and be done. Then you can be setup to count up. We have done it with a cutoff wheel as well but need to be careful.
We have 28 coordinators installed servicing 128 bays and we don't have repeaters or extra antennas installed at any of them. Have you tried a new coordinator?
