    Suggestions to clean bay plastics

5 parts water to 1 part chemical. I just eyeball it when I fill the 5 gallon Husquavana branded sprayer I buy at Lowe’s. It’s the cheapest sprayer found that will hold up to the harsh chemical. You have to call Stone and order it. The product doesn’t appear on their website but they do have...

    Suggestions to clean bay plastics

The best stuff I’ve found that isn’t HF is Stone Soap’s Restore. It’s no longer shown on their website (last I checked) but they do have it. I mix 5:1 in a chemical sprayer and then hit it quickly with a brush but not what I would consider scrubbing. These pics don’t show how well this stuff...

    Floor heat leak

In my experience, the leak has been very obvious or at least isolated to an area of less than 100 sqft. I have had to cut test holes to get a better idea of where the leak is. I try to cut a 1’x1’ square and then turn the water on and see which direction it is flowing. Then continue on from...

    Milwaukee 13 in One Screwdriver.

my Gerber multi tool that I always have in my pocket. I burned the tip off of the screwdriver when I shorted it out on a live wire. I do love by Wiha electrician screwdrivers but sometimes they aren’t handy and I need a shocking reminder why I own them.

What does health insurance cost on open market?

I’m close to going down this path myself. I know that several of my friends buy their insurance as part of a group through the local Chamber of Commerce. Of course, that also requires you to be a member of your local Chamber of Commerce. For me there doesn’t seem to be much benefit unless...

    Bollard Repair

I just drilled some holes with the hammer drill, pounded in some rebar, and used a new section of pipe I had laying around. When the concrete cured it was as solid as the original bollard. I covered it with a plastic bollard cover. No one will ever know!

Weird, my remote doesn’t work though the glass on my GMC. Assumed the polarized glass effected the signal.

Any suggestions of a quality Internal Lit Sign Manufacturer besides TSS?

I’d switch to the Air-Logic nozzle and holder.

Any suggestions of a quality Internal Lit Sign Manufacturer besides TSS?

Which nozzle and holder do you currently have? Regarding the delay relay, Yes you can add a 24vac delay timer to the control wire that activates the contactor for the blower motors. I buy them from the local plumbing supply house in the HVAC section.

Expense of high resolution Security Cameras

I have the Lorex system and one Hikvision system that my security company installed. The Hiksystem was more expensive but doesn’t have any more features that would justify the added cost except for a huge hard drive that records 14 cameras for about 30 days. My neighbor has a WatchDog system...

    What was your worst customer?

Scott Downey, I can relate…but the way, nothing wrong with either of these machines. Operator error both times. One guy didn’t put the startup amount in the bay. The change machine guy was counting dollar coins as quarters

    Pressure

I remember using a chart from CAT when I was changing for 310 to 530 pumps on my existing 5hp motors. I think the concern here is more about water volume than pressure. You certainly don’t want to starve the pump of water volume but too much volume isn’t good either. You need to pick your...

    Overload Relays Tripping

Make sure all of your motors/pumps are still turning in the correct rotation. next get a clamp on amp meter and check the amps on each wire. Set the overload relay to just above the highest amp reading. It’s possible but unlikely that the flex wand is causing your issue but I won’t say it’s...

Dirty cars from Canadian wildfire smoke?

I’m near Waxman. The pollen has gone crazy but the haze seems to be keeping customers away. The combination of smoke and pollen is really affecting my allergies too.
