I have carried about every kind of Leatherman there is. Recently started carrying the $38 Roxon with D2 blade. It has the best pair of scissors I have seen on a multitool. All the blades lock and it comes with a bit kit. The only advantage of the leather man was the pliers but I did not use that...
While attending a local outdoor show recently I visited the Tops knife booth. The owner and main knife designer was there and I told them I needed a knife for the car wash that featured a serrated edge for cutting hoses etc. as well as a good straight edge. They came up with this custom design...
I must have the knack when people can't get their cards to work. I will take the card and wipe the mag stripe on my pants to clean it. The readers work when swiped in either direction and by trying it both ways I bet I get 90% of them to work.
I just installed the G and G led lights in some SS bays and some back lit awnings. This is not the cheapest way to go but they sure spread the light out nice. Kleenrite says 4 per bay on the $1200 per bay package but 2 per bay is plenty IMO. I think $600 per bay for a light with a 75,000 hour...
Yes it works on both. Borax is very toxic to them and only takes a little. Lots of you tube videos on this. I have used it the last 3 years and it works great but it does take about 3 weeks to kill them all off.
A great long term solution for any property is to get some Borax from a hardware store. Mix 1 TBL. spoon in a half gallon of apple juice. Pour this in several empty pop cans and put a small stick in the can that reaches the bottom and sticks out a couple of inches. The wasps and hornets will eat...
I am looking to buy any used wash gear SS bay parts. Looking for any of the white boxes with the computer boards. If anyone has taken some out and want to sell them message me. Thanks SOapy
I am getting ready to install cryptopay at one location. How long does it take to get verified if you don't have it start up instantly? My Wash Gear system usually only takes less than 5 seconds. I am replacing a Etowah Valley system since I have not been able to get timers or replacemnt boards...
My vending is probably slower than most because I provide free microfiber drying towels at a towel station so I vend very few of the number 1 selling vending item.
I tried the Boartex also five years and they quickly flattened out. I have switched over the Hog Daddy hair brushes after using Erie for years. I am happy with the Hog Daddys.
Average vending in 2023 from the Auto Laundry news survey is $352 per month. I am not a big fan of vending but do it at 2 locations with glass front vendors and I would estimate around $300 per month at each site.
Auto Laundry News 2023 SS survey, here are some quick numbers for averages.
SS bay each average gross $1810 per bay Past experience from surveys are a 30 to 40 % expenses on SS bays
Vacuum $331 per vAC
Vending $352
Auto bay $14,000 gross , $4800 net profit. If you had 2 IBAs the gross...
I would not build if it was over 1.5 million and would try to have at least 2 IBAs and 4 ss bays at that. Auto Laundry News does a yearly survey on SS washes. I would start there to build a pro forma off of their numbers.
