I do the same. Whenever I need to close down for any reason I turn the power to the bay off in the equipment room. Customers will just move the cone out of the way and drive in anyway.
I used to use it in my old automatic but I no longer use it in my new automatic. I would use a 50 pound box of correct powder stirred into about 30 gallons of hot water. Then I would add about 2 1/2 gallons of Simoniz foam additive while stirring and filling the 55 gallon barrel the rest of the...
i think it's more the fact that the original inventors of the self service car wash concept got it right almost immediately. I don't think it's as much price consciousness as it is d.i.y. mindset of the customer. I think one could compare self serve innovations or developments to several other...
I found someone who wants to buy my thermal printer out of my gold line. I thought that would be fine because I don't use it anymore now that I have crypto pay. Is it OK to just disconnect this and remove it from the machine or will it create some type of error that will cause me a problem? It...
yes this is insane. You're basing your argument on a handful of busy days and you are assuming that customers will somehow benefit from this new set up. They won't. They will not want to do something different than they have done at your wash in the past. Since no other car washes that I know of...
One thing for sure there's going to be a lot more stupidity on display with customers now that marijuana is becoming legalized at the state level in many areas. People don't realize that the cannabis today is a lot stronger than back in the 70s and 80s when they used to smoke it. Back then you...

The first logical step is to find a distributor for Mark seven or a qualified repair technician who can evaluate the machine and give you an estimated cost for repairs. Is a 20 year old Mark seven machine still factory supported? Are parts readily available? These are things to get you started...
I understand your frustration, BUT...
I have never in 20 years left my wash unattended for 3 days!!! Most Ss/IBA operators have someone stop by at least once a day to clean up and empty trash etc.
I Think that you should chalk this one up to "lesson learned" and start checking in a little more...
Whenever I have had issues with my three color foam system it has always been a chemical dilution issue. I would start by either adding some concentrated chemical into each tank or putting in a larger tip and see if that makes an improvement.
I think my soda sales have probably declined a little bit but I don't really keep track of it like I should. I view soda sales as a customer convenience and one of those little perks that my wash has that differentiates me from the competition.
That said, I always stock plenty of Poland...
