You bought a petit wash with real estate for under 400K in a wealthy suburb? If thats true and the location is what you say thats a great deal. Congrats. Got any pics?
Talked to someone there a month ago about getting a quote for 14 meter box doors. They said email them and thats what I did. It's been almost 30 days and I still have not heard back. I even called and reminded them a week later I was in a rush. Mind you I didn't just say I want meter boxes...
Why not just don’t do memberships? You’re not a tunnel so you can’t process 1500 - 2000 cars a day. There no sense in spending 20-40k to give your customers a discount on washes they would have purchased at full price. Assuming you do decent volume.
IMHO I don’t see any upside to memberships in...
If you call Cryptopay depending on how old your unit is they will send you new led chips for free. I don’t remember exactly but I believe there is 5 or 6 that make up the display. You just swap out the one that is bad. It least that’s how it was on the gold line. Pretty sure acw would be the same.
Wouldn’t change anything. Strictly SS bays don’t make much money to justify the investment. It will be ten years or so before you even break even if your lucky. In bay automatics are where the money is at self serve washes. The SS bays just pay the bills.
Even if they gave you the building for...
Dont even think about this. Im all about rehabbing a shut down wash if it makes sense and if the BONES are good. This is neither. The building is shit and the fact it's a lease is the biggest issue.
What to expect if you do it right at the BARE minimum for new equipment + install:
Self Serve...
Yup exactly and I have used WD40 too when I didn't have any of my stuff with me and that worked pretty good. Ive tried a couple of differant cutting fluids and the one I attached the pic of worked the best. Of course it's the most expensive. $25 for small bottle. It does last pretty long though...
I always use cutting fluid when drilling stainless. Seems to make the bits last forever and the drilling a whole lot easier. I put a little on the spot that im going to drill then put a little in a small cap and dip my bit in it every so often if I think its getting to hot. Works great and fast.

This the retrofit kit minus the bill acceptor. For some reason I cant find the whole kit with the validator. You're probably better off just calling them.
$100 is really cheap. I wonder if it lasted long after the repair. I remember paying $250 about ten years ago or so. If you contact the companies cantbreak80 or I suggested im sure they will give you some idea of the cost.
Yes the MEI are compatible with the goldlines. We wouldn't have...
I didn't say change all 13 at once. As they go bad you change them. Especially if you dont plan on upgrading those gold lines in the near future. What makes more sense putting a MEI for roughly $700 that will last ten+ years or paying to get your old Hamilton validators repaired every year or...
Completely agree with Keno. I didn't even think about it until he said it but the MEI upgrade would be the way to go. The validator will last forever and the acceptance rate is a lot higher. Might cost you a little more up front vs repairing the Hamilton but you won't have to get the Hamilton...
You absolutely should. This won’t be the last time.
You may even want to get t shirts printed. They will sell like hot cakes at the car wash show.
Booth Sign Reads:
“Have you seen a line at your local car wash?
“You want to build a car wash now?”
Salesman: Boy do I have the t shirt for you...
Too bad you can’t make this post an automatic reply to everyone who posts about wanting to build a car wash because they seen a line at their local ones
Couldn’t be more accurate.
I don’t even waste my time with the reviews and business has only gone up. I stopped replying to them a long time ago.
I cant tell you how many bad reviews ive got because of the Cryptopay pre auth charge or because someone is an idiot. 95% of them are customer error. Does google care? NOPE...
