They illuminate only when the Nayax is powering the bay/vacuum.

Always works for me, too! Now watch. Since we've shared that knowledge, Zoro will quit doing it. :ROFLMAO:

JE Adams Combo Vac silver button high failure rate

I have ZERO experience with the JEAdams LED equipped units. Do they feature a DC power supply or an AC/DC circuit to power the LEDs? As noted on Rainway's post, the Bulgin data sheet provides voltage & current ratings for the different LED colors...And, "an appropriate resistor must be series...

    Flojet 5100 series

Well...this is confusing. Since you have liquid only to the bay, where is the air coming from?

    Nayax doesn’t shut off

Eric, "Automatic Stop" using the rotary switch STOP position can be accomplished by installing a programmable logic relay or PLC, some minor rotary switch wiring, and an additional wire from the coin box to the car wash’s equipment room control panel. Here's a example SmartRelay installation for...

    No under slab heat

If there is enough headroom, a 4”-5” concrete overpour will work. Secure ½” PEX tubing to 6x6 remesh and pour away. You’ll likely need to excavate the entry/exit 3’-5’ to provide a smooth transition into and out of the bays. And, add extension rings for the drains.

    Carolina Pride Triple Foam

I was introduced to IDEC when a local automation distributor paid me a visit in 1999-2000(?)…I still purchase devices from them. The IDEC SmartRelay is the private label version of Siemens LOGO!… with a 6 month delay for introducing new versions. At least that was the business arrangement back...

Check Valve - Which one is better

Well, there you go...different experiences. The 30some RegOs that we've installed in the last 3 years perform as reliably as the ones installed over the last 30 years.

Check Valve - Which one is better

The brass check valve is likely re-branded RegO. RegO products are not inexpensive. We install RegO's Stainless Steel version. Most have never been touched. Many are over 30 years old.

Siemens LOGO! and IDEC Smartrelay offer small form-factor base modules that provide 8 inputs and 4 relay outputs. Expansion modules can add additional I/O. Models offered include 24V AC/DC. The 24V AC/DC units make them ideal for self-service car wash controls since they can be powered from...

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

I did some recent service at a location where the tank's plug was replaced with a 1 lb coffee can. I looked like it was original equipment...from 1985. ;)

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

The threaded plug on top of the tank is not tightened...it's just installed with 1-2 threads...just to keep debris from contaminating the glycol.

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

ModCon boilers should always be configured with Primary/Secondary piping. ("Double loop") The Primary circuit pumps through the boiler. The Secondary circuit pumps to the system. Primary circuit is plumbed through closely spaced tees or a hydraulic separator. This design provides for boiler...

    Brush hose

edredtop and I agree with using high pressure hose. But I like to use 1/4" hose with 3/8" crimp-ons. 1/4' hose is lighter and typically doesn't impact foam quality. It also doesn't "bang" as heavily against the customer's vehicle. 3/8" MPT crimps let you install the same size swivels as your...

Where are you and what are your prices?

Most of our customers are $3/3minutes. Many are planning $4/3minutes soon. Potential 25% increase in property taxes and insurance! Here’s one who took the leap last year…$5/3minutes! I asked how it’s been working and have there been any repercussions. (It’s always busy when I’m there for...
