    Ceramic coatings

Are any of you changing your pricing for this? I'm currently paying $213.00/5 gal. for Carnauba Lather (ChemQuest) in our top wash, which is currently at $13.00. We're in South Texas, where things are quite a bit lower priced than what I've seen elsewhere. Have now been talking to my...

    Ceramic coatings

Thanx. I just watched a Simonize video of it being applied in what looks like a touchless manner on a conveyor. Will look into this more.

    Ceramic coatings

I've been very curious about this for awhile. We're getting ready to put in a new Razor. Is your machine touchless or brush? Did you raise your prices for the Ceramic? We're currently using a Carnauba on our top wash in our Profile. Had been wondering about changing to a ceramic, but just...

This is such a nice business

Before opening our car wash, I had never been involved in a business where there was so much customer interaction, and it has been a real learning experience. In the car wash business you see both the best and the worst of humanity.

    new razor

Very excited for you and look forward to hearing your comments on your Razor's wash quality. We will be starting construction on a new bay and Razor install hopefully in the next couple of weeks. Our new Razor has already arrived and is sitting in a storage container on our site. Can't wait...

    So this happened...

We have an enormous sign plastered across the entrance to our wash bay in bright yellow with black lettering that says PICK-UP BEDS MUST BE EMPTY. Customers still ignore it and don't realize the damage that can happen when they go through the wash with items -- big or small -- in the truck...

    Adding a WashWorld Profile

We're right on track with you -- we're getting ready to add a Razor next to our Profile. Construction will hopefully start sometime in the next couple of weeks. Good luck with yours! We're lucky to not have a neighbor like yours. A motel and Mexican Restaurant across the street; and an event...

    Bug pass...?

Coach, are you pleased with the results of the Bug-Assault on your Razors? We plan to have it on our new Razor, with our middle and top washes. Hope to start construction in Nov. Just waiting on the final SBA Loan approval.

eCatcher for Washworld - For those who use Apple phones

We use ECatcher for our Profile which was installed in 2018, on an older 8+ Model IPhone. No problems with installing it on the phone at that time.

Upgrading a PDQ Access unit for Chip Cards

I just looked at the quote I received from our distributor and the Access Retrofit Kit - S Series was quoted at $11,495.00, which is a little over $3,100 less than the $14,600 they're charging you. Not sure who you're dealing with on this, but you might want to question them. The Refit Kit...

Upgrading a PDQ Access unit for Chip Cards

We're in the exact same situation. I started out with PDQ's Tandem and their Access Unit. Although we switched to WashWorld equipment later down the road, we kept the Access because I have alot of customers tied into the WALS system. We are now planning to add another wash bay with a Razor...

    Totaled IBA and Insurance

You're right. In Texas, you don't need an attorney for real estate deals. We only used one to set up the LLC for us. The land transaction was just us, the seller, and the title company. I worked for lawyers in Massachusetts and there, you need an attorney for any land or home purchase.

Razor not Measuring Cars Going all the way to the back

I will be watching this thread like a hawk, since our new Razor will hopefully be installed in the next couple of months and we will be using the same WW distributor as WaterGuy. Want to make sure we don't have the same problem. Will like to know whether the new sonar they send fixes the...

    Purchasing another wash

From what we can tell at this point, the belts broke. The tech had suggested it could have been a vehicle with a high luggage rack or truck with a headache rack that could have caught on it, but when I went back and watched the video, it appeared that the bridge performed the 1st presoak/bug...

    Purchasing another wash

The wash is unattended; open 24/7; however we have 8 video cameras throughout the site and also in the wash bay, running 24 hours; and we live only 8 minutes from the wash. We've not had any serious damage to any customers' vehicles, and were lucky both this time and the last time the top brush...

    Purchasing another wash

Yes, I noticed that also. Not sure if that's part of the assembly itself or something foreign that could have caused this. I'll know more later.

    Purchasing another wash

First, let me apologize for putting this on this particular thread; I probably should have started a new one. But I had just gotten back from the site and was royally pissed and saw this comment from the originator about being a little wary about friction, so I thought I'd throw it in here...

    Purchasing another wash

You said you were worried about "friction." This is what my Profile did this morning. 2nd time this has happened. First time was 8 months ago just before X-mas.
