I haven't been on the forum since last week...these are not the new posts I was looking forward to. So sad! The forum won't be the same without MEP. Terri you have my condolences.
That’s true but I really hate the reviews on Google. It seems we’ve had a string of ridiculously stupid comments which you can’t really do anything about. Supposedly our touchless wash has caused swirl marks, paint chips, and scratches. Believe it or not we also ‘ruined wheels and a custom...
Those that have experience with descaling tankless water heaters is there a particular brand of Descaler that you prefer? Any tips or tricks? These things aren’t cheap I figure it time to take care of them. I just ordered a small electric pump to circulate the fluid.
Well said Greg. I’m always willing to try something new from a supplier when they say they’ve got an improved product. The hardest part is, like you said, subjective results. Unless you try something and the results simply smack you in the face and it is noticeably superior, it’s very hard to...
My RO production settings are fine and we already have a 300 gallon tank feeding a centrifugal pump that will max out at 60psi. The system worked excellent with our previous autos as the reject was blended with the water feeding the boiler. My old autos used more hot water than the Petits...
We removed two Laserwash 4000's and reloaded the wash with Petit I-360's. When we had the 4000's we were using 100% of our reject water because of the way the HP pump tanks were plumbed. Currently our reject water is being mixed back in with the feed to our hot water boiler. Hot water is only...
Just an update. The relay Airlift sent me seems to have worked and fixed the issue. Haven't had the door fail to close since installing it early last week.
Rudy, we have door eyes. They just aren’t connected directly to the operator. The eyes are connected to our automatic and the automatic’s door control logic would send a signal to the door operator. If the automatics eyes were blocked the door would stop closing and then open, not just stop...
I talked to a tech at Airlift, very helpful. They are aware of a very random issue with some of the relays in some of the control units. He’s sending me two relays that have a diode in them that solves the issue. I’ll report back if they don’t.
We’re running a poly carbonate door, not a vinyl roll up. The door will come down about 2’ or one panel. It’s 100% not photoeye related as we’re only using the entrance eyes of our automatic which are not connected to the XRS operator.
I tried calling Airlift several times this morning during...
Ours do not use the Powerflex drives. We also don’t have any eyes connected to the operator as we’re only using the eyes from our Petit.
I tried calling Airlift yesterday, but they had already closed for the day.
I still haven’t seen the lease but it sounds just like what you said Sparkey, they’re not on the hook whatsoever. The girls did have $2000 worth of insurance which is a drop in the bucket for what we’ve spent and what was lost. Better than nothing. Lesson learned.
I have an Airlift XRS door operator running a polycarbonate door which is giving me some trouble. The door operates normally 90% of the time, however, it will occasionally stop at the same position when it is closing. The door will come down about one door panel length and then stop? If you...
My daughter and a roommate stored some of their college furniture, dressers, beds, winters clothes etc in a storage unit over the summer. When they went to pick it up for the new school year they found the unit was infested with roaches. I wasn't there but apparently it was really bad. The...

Can you be more specific regarding the 15%? Are you saying only 15% of your 18K cars were purchased through the app...if so, what do you attribute the 45% increase to? Or are you saying that less than 15% of the 18k are free app washes?
my best guess is the group 'In Bay Automatic, Self-Serve, & Dog Wash Group" however, it could have been one of the following groups as well..
Washworld Car Wash Operators
TalkCarWash Self-Serve & Laundromat
Petit 360i Owners
Do you have the electric oscillator that oscillates both blower housings or the air oscillator that moves blades inside the joined nozzle? I’ve never had the opportunity to see the latter and would love to know how well it works as I’m sure it’s retrofittable. I would link to Premier’s...
