My thoughts are that they consider a closed loop system a pressurized system whether you have it pressurized or not. The point is that it could build pressure and if it did you're relying on the psi relief to relieve that pressure to prevent an accident, hence the required inspections.
A long...
Our Town…I am also in Ohio. Here is what we did and what I suggest you do. We have several washes with Raypack floor heat systems designed by Huron Valley. Our one air-x tank rotted out so I replaced it with an open top square plastic tank with a lid. When the inspector came back the next year...
Nobody has any idea how long their truck is and they all seem to forget about their trailer hitches. The sign is just to cover your ass. Even with a rear eye, the trailer hitch will usually slip through. If they're just straight and long they usually won't hook the spray bar. If they have the...
Would love to see a picture of the spray bars you fashioned.
Another change we made is where the trolley is parked. Rather than have it parked on the driver's side front like yours, we moved it to the passenger's side rear. Having the home position there makes the bay a little less confining...
Virtual treadle would mount to your bays walls. One side would be mounted about 6” off of the floor and the other side would be around 30” off the floor. The back up eye would be wherever you felt comfortable with the vehicles bumper to be stopped at and not get hit by your machine. Two feet...
To use a VFD he would have to replace that 25 hp motor with one that is rated for drive use. Thats a lot of money and some heavy lifting for little benefit. His idea for a recirculation valve would be much easier, cheaper and effective. It would basically be a water saver pass, simply add...
Nice job! We are still running 3 Southern Pride Turbos which are essentially identical to the HydroSpray. Getting rid of the spinning sprays arms was a smart move. While they provided great coverage they were also the cause of the majority of problems. I can't see from your picture, but if...
Can someone help me out. Had a customer accidentally use his business card for a car wash and needs it refunded so he doesn’t get in trouble. In the past I would simply use World Pays virtual terminal and refund it however, in their quest for the worst customer service they have eliminated the...
We use Dole Dual Inlet Valves on our pressure fed systems. Each side has a diaphragm exactly like the ones used in hydrominders. When they go bad it does exactly what you described...full pressure, then kind of a shudder and pressure drops to basically nothing. Ninety percent of the time the...
I have found that the Chemflex are not suited for Alkaline. You'll get decent life out of the for waxes and acids. We have mostly switched to Dema Rocket Injectors.
2Biz,
How would you envision the plumbing, pumps and controls for a FH system for something larger than a 3 or 4 bay where you’re not going to get away with just one Takagi or whatever demand heater? Main loop going to and from the loops wouldn’t change….appropriate size pump running constantly...
2Biz, when you re-did your FH how did you flush all the sludge out of the old system? The glycol in my floor heat systems looks very dirty. I can’t imagine that little filter screen on the HE boiler not plugging constantly.
Just stopped at one of our sites and took a look at a smaller Raypack 263k FH boiler. It only has one gas valve and the modulation numbers are way different than our larger boilers so you need the card for your particular gas valve. This is set at 2 which sets it 135F. The automatic high limit...
We've run Raypack FH boilers since 1984 and unless my old memory is failing me, this is the first time I've ever heard of a "low limit" needing to be satisifed to continue to operate? My understanding is that there are two high limits....an automatic high limit and a secondary high limit that...
It's been a while since I wired cryptopay into an ACW4 so I don't remember what wires are tied into what. I will tell you that the swiper should be disabled once that second wash is paid for and stacked.
You should test a couple of things....
Flip your passive/active toggle switch to...
Swapping in a brand new Inhibit relay is certainly a good idea. I've had plenty of relays where the internal solder joints come loose and become intermittent. Also, back when I was chasing my tail years ago on this issue, lots of people suggested swapping or replacing the relay pan in the ACW...
