    Damage Claim

October?!! Ha ha...I'd tell them to pound salt or send me a video. Five months is completely unreasonable even if you did damage their car. They would need very good proof which I doubt they have.

    Cryptotap+ Pros and Cons

Thats awesome to hear. We have attendant cards for the swipers, how do you generate and set up the QR codes? Is that done through the dashboard? I assume there is no additional cost to use the QR codes? If there are any directions for the QR code function I'm happy to read them but I...

    Cryptotap+ Pros and Cons

We have Cryptopay swipers at a couple of our washes and they have been great! Knock on wood, I've only had to replace a couple of swipers in the many years we have had them. After adding Cryptotap to all of our Cryptopay cashiers I was shocked at the percentage of transactions that are tap...

    Airlift Door Operator Issue

Oops…must have hit post. Wasn’t done yet. I think maybe you’re onto something with the stop button. We were too busy today for me to even open the box. I looked quickly at the manual and there are five relays plus two timer/reversing relays. Trying to follow the logic of the relays confuses me...

    Airlift Door Operator Issue

It does have a stop button. Unless the door f’s up…it will open and close to the correct spots (limit set points). If the down limit somehow was coming on, it shouldn’t allow me to send the door down any further but it does so the down limit must not be on.

    Airlift Door Operator Issue

We have an Airlift XRS door opener on a poly carbonate entrance door for one of our Petits. Occasionally the door will only open roughly two feet. It has also stopped at this same spot when closing, however, it is much more likely to happen when opening. I'm not positive but I think it has...

    Back up plate

I’m guessing you maybe have a rainmaker? We run several old Southern Pride turbos and one of them still has a treadle pad for the front tire. To prevent the occasional idiot that ends up parking their back tire on the pad rather than their front tire and starting the wash we added a photo eye...

Help! Smart Switch To Control Pay Station Remotely

We use a bunch of these. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0875KYT3C?psc=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_ct_88X9CVNM0PJ0KE5ZX6FY Each one has four outputs, the app is easy to use...no need to log into a computer, they're stable with your wifi, each output can be sticky or a timed closure. Lots of uses.

Calculating Water Usage and Energy Consumption

I am averaging 49 gallons/wash with my Petit 360's. When we had our LW4000's we were averaging 57 gallons/car. CarWashMan, you're asking for some specific information without providing any details. Kinda like asking how much a truck costs.

Help! Smart Switch To Control Pay Station Remotely

What time do you close Waxman? We wash a decent number of cars between 10pm and 6am sometimes.

    Issues with cryptopay tap plus

My soap distributor has the tap plus and he recently told me Cryptopay had an issue with a certain early batch of serial numbers.

    Wash Select Speech Board

Does anyone have an old speech board or speech chips laying around they would like to sell? Bought two WSII’s to install and didn’t realize they don’t have speech. I’d at least like to have the generic voice prompts. Thanks

Building permit for an IBA install?

Axxlrod nailed it. Just close the bay and re-load. Keep it low key the best you can. We just reloaded four sites in the last 3 years, total of 7 autos. No permits or inspections which made for a lot less stress.

    New Carwash and Detail Building

Don't know what part of the country this is in but is it a cold climate? If so, where are you going to push snow? Our lots can get real small, real quick if and when we get heavy, prolonged snowfall. What about a dumpster? Front load garbage trucks are 35' long and quite heavy. If they...

    Ceramic in S.S bay?

Greg, why do you need to inject polish dye? You know they make Vantagloss with yellow dye in it already, right?

    Bay lighting?

I haven't read the reviews on these particular lights but I have used similar looking ones. Ours also have polycarb lenses which are fine, UNLESS, you have an application where they will be on 100% of the time. Eventually the heat build up will either crack the lens or loosen the poured in...

Hamilton end of life for ACW's & Dial Up

OMG.🤦🏻‍♂️ My eyes are worse than I thought! Reading any type of screen has gotten to be difficult. I’ve always been a Hamilton fan that’s why I thought only a one week notice was lame. I should be able to get them converted by next year🤣

Hamilton end of life for ACW's & Dial Up

Tried calling Hamilton this morning and finally just left them a message after sitting on hold for 30 minutes. Haven't heard back from them yet so I figured someone here might know. I have two questions as we're still using dial up at two locations. 1) I am assuming dial up will continue to...
