Yes! We do it every year, giving away our top wash. We have touchless automatics, and last year we decided to wipe down every veterans car upon exiting. Boy was that appreciated! We won't be able to wipe down this year unfortunately.
Also this year the weather doesn't look promising (rain)...
Wood wicks moisture. Metal corrodes quickly in corrosive environments. PVC solves that. I would look into something like the products Extrutech offers. The are more than wall paneling. https://www.epiplastics.com/index.html
I would like to say, opt for 3" stone load covered with a layer of fresh manure. The stone is hard to shovel and you know the reason for the other. But realistically I'd see where the legal route goes.
Just a thought, I think the SpecrtaRay as designed would catch debris and make keeping the bay walls clean even more of a chore. It may be a nice addition in some urban areas where flash sells and tree leaves and heavy dirt are less of an issue. I see it as more maintenance and extra work in...
