OK so I'm hoping someone can help me understand this because i think my boss got screwed when this was all put in to the wash years ago. the tunnel has 3 modine units. they are all 86,000 btu's each. 1 at the exit and 2 at the entrance. the entrance ones are one facing the exit door and the...
Call a local motor company. Up here i call new hampshire electric motor. They can rebuild the motors if thats what is bad. Could also be the vfd drives or something else. Find out exactly whats wrong first.
Belts are easy to change, you can definitely do it yourself. Pdq will even walk you through it if you call them. Save yourself some money though and buy the belt from polybelt.com , i think item #b15-8m-mps. Im not sure how long a belt you need but it is the same belt as the trolley belt so...
If your at the site you can log into the ip address, i think 198.162.55.101/102/103etc..... depending on how many bays you have. If you have pdq service call them they can help walk you through it.
I am not sure of the btu's of the units. I will have to check them. I have 2 smallish modine blowers at the entrance and one larger one at the exit. I have a 60 foot conveyor so the tunnel is maybe 80ish feet overall. Its small.
If you stand in the air flow of the ones at the entrance it...
Anyone have any recommendations for the best type of heating units in a wash tunnel? We are in New Hampshire and are currently experiencing temps to -16 this week, my modine units are having trouble keeping up. It got me wondering if they are the best option for heating the tunnel. What does...
Your post made me think. I have the best self serve bay in my area. Pull straight through, wide entrances, modern and bright with equipment no other wash has, (underbody wand system). Only 2 other self serve bays in the area and one is pull in back out, so anyone with a trailer is **** out of...
We have it all, blowers, underbody, Cryptopay, triple foam, brushes, the facility is well kept and maintained, it is just in small town n.h., And it’s probably not possible to increase car counts so we have to find a way to get more out of customers for the same if we want revenue increases. We...
If you had a 5 bay self serve wash and only needed 3 to satisfy the demand what would you do with the other 2? Not exactly my dilemma but similar.... close them? Keep them open? Or find some other way to increase traffic?
I’m here looking for feedback, but I can take the criticism too...
There is no possibility of adding detailing here. The labor market sucks really bad here as the opioid epidemic has hit hard. It is not worth the risk to my business/reputation to try to find a good detailer. We wouldn’t make enough money doing it in this market and it would only take 1 bad...
Thanks, my thought is this, if one bay is always slow and i can add the vac into it maybe i can increase the sales. Maybe, just maybe, customers just switch back and forth from vac to spray without even realizing they run the same timer. How many operators wouldnt love to get $1 per minute for...
I have a very slow car wash. 20,000 per year in a tunnel and 3 bay self serve. I only ask because I like to think outside the box. This site does very little in vac sales due to there being a small lot surrounding the building so the vacs aren’t easy to access. My bay 3 self serve is always very...
I had this problem with a belanger dcc32. I ended up using timing relays, so for example if your triple foam comes on and just after that you want to add another rinse arch, you would use a timing relay which would trigger with the triple foam turning on, but you set the timer to go on on the...
I did not know the owner personally, but i knew who he was. To me it was enough to know that when i had a problem chances are ethe owner knew about it and helped solve it. Now there is a ceo in ohio, he doesnt know who the hell i am! I would compare it to other industries. Restaurants for...
I can give you my first hand account of what i have dealt with when c.a.r. Was bought out by dubois. I like c.a.r., im happy with the chemicals, happy with the prices, i am super happy with the salesman we have. When the buyout first happened we were given the usual "nothig will change". Of...
