Someone else told me i could do this with a rasberry pi decie, as long as the vacs get wifi signal the pi is a relay, or something like that..... im still trying to figure it all out while using as few devices possible.
the only other car wash owner in town started a radio ad telling people to use his "touchless" car wash because you don't want brushes dulling your paint.... he owns a touchless and we own a tunnel. actually we own 3 different washes which are a mix of tunnel and touchless, but the competitor to...
so to run a vac remotely, would it be easier to bypass the timer on the vac and just provide power to the motors through a timing relay? maybe one that holds the power on for 3 minutes every time it is triggered before shutting off again?? and if so coukld I use the ezesys to trigger the timing...
Yes, thanks for this info too! I am curious if they make a "pulsing" relay. That is a relay that when sent the trigger will pulse out instead of going on or off. I know they sell time delay relays but i want one that when triggered it can be set to send out a certain number of pulses for a...
Dows anyone know anything about the splash and dash self contained self serve bay from hanna? I got pricing today from them and it runs 10,500 - 11,600 depending on configuration. But all you have to do is run water and 220 to it. All pumps and chems etc are inside the stainless box. I have a...
Pdq told me they were working on a new access machine now. I was told they reached their limit on the old one as far as engineering goes so they had to start from scratch. I will agree, i have 3 access machines and they are a pain in the ass. Constant problems, expensive parts, and really the...
I have a dilling harris 1 bay self serve setup. Like others have said it will be cheaper to rebuild, BUT, you will be field engineering it all as dilling harris doesnt have much for these machines. In fact dilling harris almost doesnt exist. On Mine for example i replaced all those white pumps...
I used 10' long 6" wide electrical conduit. The real thick stuff they bury. It was about $100 per 10' piece and easy to cut with a sawzall. I buried it about 18" leaving 3 1/2' above ground and filled it with concrete. I think i even drilled a couple 1/2" holes in the buried end and inserted...
We added the underbody wash wand from hydrospray. I love it and my customers love it. You do have to do a lot of demonstrations of it to get people to understand how it works in the begining, and it is pricey at a couple grand each, but if you are in the northern climates with lots of salt on...
Can you give me more info on this set up? Maybe a link to the equipment? It sounds like a better option. We use gin san equipment and dilling harris for our self serve bays.
I agree, i have had nothing but compliments on the simoniz hot wax since adding it. To me it is the only product i have seen applied to a car that you can see feel and smell afterwards. I describe the way the car feels after having hot wax applied as similar to detail claying a car.....
We run a wash in a small market, so the backend probably wouldnt be too restrictive FOR US. With that being said i understand it wouldnt work for everybody.
i want to restrict it to fleets because they are who i am not seeing here currently and they are vehicles that dont fit into...
Its not the only way, just one of the ways i see that is possible to get a lower cost. I was asked how i got my price, my answer was buy your equipment direct through simoniz, especially if you are in a distributor network. But if you already have the equipment either sign a contract, or...
