There are a couple companies that make a tool to put the fittings on. I haven't tried any of them yet so I don't know how well they work.

I lost what will probably be the busiest weekend of the year but we are up and running now. Local machine shop straightened the shaft. I also have a spare and spare bearings on the way.

Long shot...
Does anyone have a spare Softgloss rear brush shaft within driving distance of PA? Ours got bent today and I don't have a spare on hand, neither does the local distributor. I am located in central PA and willing to drive a few hours to get it.

WBC is a completely different tunnel controller than the Tunnel Master Jr that you are currently using. It requires replacing your existing relay stations. Essentially it is a complete tunnel controller replacement. If you are going that far, I would switch away from ICS to one of the other...
To get back to the original question, an inbay will add revenue to your wash. The rule of thumb used to be that 1 inbay will do the same as 5 SS bays. Our inbays outperform our self serve bays at all of our locations.
I have or had Belanger, PDQ, Ryko, Mark VII and Washworld automatics. I...
Does the Radius actually clean better? I don't have first hand experience.
I understand it sounds better to the customer and perception is important but my Razor and Lasers clean very well without Ryko's impingement.
I agree with the suggestions. I would take this opportunity to get the functions in order. Not everyone will use them in order but I think it is useful to have them in a logical order around the dial, as much as possible.
Many designers focus on the overall look but miss the actual function...
Coming back to this old thread on a related issue. Our system has the medium pressure spot free rinse option, it appears that when spot free is running, the bypass is going into the inlet manifold which pushes water back to the high pressure soap and wax solenoids. This leads to customers in...
FIrst, what is your actual cost per car? "burning through jugs" is vague.
Second, I would absolutely recommend applying through a medium or low pressure application. A full high pressure pass is alot of water so it takes more chemical to reach the same dilution ratio.
There is another point to consider as well. Customer tracking has shown that many of our customers wash less than 4 times per year. A membership can take that customer from $40 per year spent at your wash to $250-$300 per year. Would you rather have 50% of $40 or 15% of $250? That is why...
I think for an ATV bay you could use grating to allow the majority of the mud to fall through. Basically make the majority of the bay a pit instead of concrete with just a pit in the middle. If you are in an area that attracts ATVs it could be a good idea. Maybe even have a raised platform to...
Correct salt usage is dependent on quality of water coming into your site. I have one site that starts at 27 grains and another site that starts at 3 grains.
Number of bags used per month isn't a great comparison. That is like comparing your soap cost on the cost per drum rather than the...
Rarely is building your own solution cheaper unless your time is free. The link to "auto reboot if connection lost" is to reboot the raspberry pi if it loses its connection. In order to power cycle another device, you would need some additional hardware. I know it can be done, but not for...
I have been looking at this very closely. Are you guys finding another solution that offers what this one does for less than $20,000? For my site, it looks like the upfront savings will cover the fees for 6-7 years. I don't need the gas station module so monthly fees are $119/per unit plus...
I have been though the same issues with our DSL provider over the last couple years. There are some devices that can help. One is an outlet that automatically power cycles if the connection to the internet is lost. The functionality is called auto-ping. If you have a land line, there is a...
When you say "the coupons are not doing anything" Does that mean they are not being accepted or they are not issuing a credit in the WS2? If i remember correctly, the validator has to be programmed to accept them and the WS2 has to be programmed to give the value you want.
Like MEP said the...
I think this looks like a pretty good option. I have 4 WS2s that I would like to update. This is the first option that isn't 20,000-30,000 each.
The screen is a lot bigger than what my WS2 has on it now.
It appears to add in all of the current marketing options including LPR for customer...
It can be done but it is very expensive. Unitec's hardware for ip processing is not cheap.
The better option might be to use a third party like Cryptopay or Nayax.
I converted one of our WashSelects to use Nayax.

It varies from state to state. Go with your accountant or assume that your vendor has checked this out and know what they are doing.
PA classifies the products differently depending on whether or not they stay on the vehicle when it leaves. So waxes and Tire shine are not taxed but...
