When done correctly, gross revenue goes up, average ticket goes down and most importantly, net profit goes up. Yes, you will wash more cars.
You have to use a system that allows people to sign up easily in an unattended environment and protects from abuse. (Abuse is washing multiple cars on...
From your description, it sounds possible that the acceptor was not reinstalled into the bracket correctly. (jamming again shortly after cleaning, and then falling out of the bracket)
Good luck with whatever acceptor you try next.

Microcoin is the best that I have used. I have used multicoin acceptors from Securecoin, IDX, Ginsan, and Slugbuster. Microcoin has been virtually trouble-free. I have experienced jams for two reasons, 1) the acceptor isn't correctly aligned in the bracket. It can be a little finicky to click...
UtahYoutubeGuy has it right.
If you get stuck, there is a Nayax University link in the upper right hand corner of the dashboard that has good information on adding cards.
Yeah, I'm aware of their tap solution, I'm more curious as to whether or not it has changed so much that what OP said is true, that it only offers one of his 5 criteria. My current WashCard system meets everything asked for in this thread but has other issues for me. I'm not sure I want to...

We use a higher quality microfiber rather than the ultra cheap thin...
You can get a wiring diagram from Ginsan for the pumpstand. Dan may pop in this thread to help you out.
I would recommend adding a low level switch to protect your pumps.
I believe the low level switch connects to the terminal strip in the upper left corner labeled ABCDEF. You could jumper it...
Sounds like yours might be single phase? On a 3 phase I am sure the starter and pressure switch would have to be separate.
Quincy makes a great compressor as well, I probably wouldn't have switched from Quincy to Emax except for the noise. We still have 3 Quincys at other locations
I am purchasing a wash that currently has a PDQ Access. Does anyone know what the process is to get a merchant account setup and switch over to a new owner?
Are your "Forward, Stop, Backup" signs on the left or right of the bay? I have a theory that some drivers focus on the sign on the left wall and turn towards it without realizing they are doing it.
When the sign is on the right wall, it seems to lessen the behavior.
You may want to start by deciding what you want the new machine to do. Do you want to offer monthly passes, codes or prepaid cards? Time of day promotions? Do you want the ability to offer buy ups? Chip and tap cc processing? Coins or bills for change?
