A few years ago I found a SS bay that the pressure wash a little low in. Not too bad, I thought we just needed a little tweak on the regulator and we would have been good. Walked back to the pump stand and found a rod had broken through the side of the case and all the oil had drained out. It...
If everything else works well I wouldn't reinvent the wheel and just put a new rotoflow pump on. Heck they're cheaper than flojets now and if you're using a neutral product will likely last ten years or more.

The trigger gun. I built a low pressure setup and used a flojet. I mounted it on a plastic white cutting board I bought at Sams Club for $10. I used 3/8" poly to the bays and the flow is pretty decent.
Almost every time this has happened to me it is eventually traced back to a power issue. Either a connector is corroded or something is drawing too much power. I've got one now that I have to bang on the back of the unit where the power supply is located and it will work for a couple months...
I use a 06 nozzle and occasionally check my pressure at the end of the gun. I have a tee on the wand tip and set the regulator to 1000 psi when the trigger is pulled. GPM is easy to remember- your tip size /2 is the GPM at 1000 psi. 06 tip is 3GPM, 07 is 3.5 GPM, etc. You’ll likely...
Just asked a guy in the tunnel business. Their site managers start 50-57K a year and techs start at roughly 18-22/hr. plus benefits. But keep in mind tunnel operation for big companies is a little different and can be systemized. They have chemical people that keep that stuff dialed in, techs...
What kind of wash?
I've got two decent volume SS/IBAs but I've lost a bit of my drive and my wife has been on me about dialing it back. I hired a guy that could do it all, but he left for greener pastures quickly. I started him at 25/hr and within six months of carwash experience he took...
If high pressure wax and soap are still working fine I'd double check to make sure your presoak solenoid is indeed bypassed. Offhand I can't think of a way that the pressure would drop only on that function. This is assuming the presoak tank is not empty as the air coming in would cause an...
What you are working on only controls the soap concentration, not the output pressure. That's a medium pressure presoak system. On the discharge side of the pump is a solenoid and a brass regulator behind it. When someone selects presoak in the bay it open the solenoid and allows the pressure to...
Well, after reading your post more carefully I see you are looking for input on the equipment room, but I will leave my other opinions in here since I had already typed them out..
You need to redesign your equipment room drawing to reflect the trapezoid shape on the architect's drawing.
At...
Never had any real issues with those. GC valves, I've got a 1999 pump stand with the original valves on it . Just make sure the flow rate is >4gpm.
Wow, they've gotten expensive.
That valve looks older. I've had older jobes break at the quick connect tabs . At nearly three cents per gallon if one breaks it could cost me hundreds in water and sewer. I'd definitely replace and not attempt a rebuild on that one.
I could see waiting longer than annually without much issue. My high pressure pump time is probably only 2 minutes per wash and at 10K washes that works out to 333 hours. I could probably move that to every three years without worry, but every spring I change out a lot of unnecessary stuff in...
Have you tried an external antenna on the coordinator?
Check the starlink plans available in your area but for residential in my area the mini has a $10 month plan limited to 4GB, which is plenty. But there is a hardware cost of about $500 for the mini. It's the size of Ipad and has a built...
