I tried coiled hoses on my PS/TF guns...Same as would be for FB....I had trouble with the hoses freezing in the winter, even though I have a blowdown and Washer Fluid Injection system. A coiled hose has about 50' of length to it. When the hose is freezing cold (after it was freeze protected) and...
I recently added Super Nova and Carabean Colada when I installed my AMS vendor. I now vend 10 flavors. Too early to tell how well they will do. I added Rose Thorn a few years ago in my drop shelf vendor and it does well too. Guessing third best seller.
I switched to the Dema's years ago and haven't had one fail yet. And don't have any issues drawing chemicals. I have them on soap, wax, FB, PS, and all three colors of TF! I remember ordering 10 of them and checking them by attaching a hose and blowing through the hose with the FV in water. 2...
I just laid mine on top of all the hoses. My hoses are in a 5-6" thin wall PVC pipe. The previous owners just had holes cut in the pipe where the hoses entered and exited! What a pain that was to pull any new hoses. So I cut a 2" wide slot in the top of the trough to make it easy to work on...
Same here on the winter guard wet in an insullated trough....I've had it installed for over 10 years and miraculously all my freezeups went away! The trough loop was already there, so I left it hooked up. It doesn't really steal from the slab since there is very little heat loss on that loop.
My Takagi T-H3-DV-N is rated for 10gpm....Like you state, thats with only a 40° rise. One thing you left out of the equation is inlet pressure. The manual states it needs at least 40psi inlet pressure to get maximum flow rates (debatable). I have 40psi feeding mine and I get 6.6gpm at 105° set...
In my opinion, most Carwash Engineers missed the K.I.S.S. method during the engineering phase. It seems they were more focused on making it so difficult that no-one could figure out how to work on it except their trained service techs!! I re-engineered my 'ol Mark VII pumpstand and have...
I have Led 7's that are over 20 years old and don't think I've ever had one fail. Like others have suggested, don't overload the timer and check voltage in the ER AND inside the meter box to make sure its in the right range and you are not getting voltage drops.
I'll have to see if the dividers on my vendor can be moved like that? The tree's are crammed in there. I did find a "Tom's Way" KR video where he recommended putting the tree's in the way I have them. But not recommended that way anywhere else. Any lower coil count than 17 and the tree's lay too...
One of the reasons I went with the Natioanl vendor is the spirals are readily available in what ever spiral count you need. They are less than $10 ea...You are right about a lot of trial and error though. I messed with it some at home before getting the time to take it to the wash. With it...
